For the majority of my stay here in fimfiction I have been without an editor. Now for someone who is not born speaking English you realize that this is a bit... hard. When I joined in two years ago I had absolutely no idea how to write properly. To be honest I had starter writing a fanfic two-three months before and it was... well bad. Not bad as in the story was bad... The story is still awesome and I plan on using it however the fic has currently gone on hiatus until I can decide how I will rewrite it. In all honesty some moments I have written are largely out of character for Queen Chrysalis there and it is cheesy... a LOT... no pun intended.
In any case back to the point. It's hard to find an editor... someone who is devoted/punctual to some point. Someone that just doesn't disappear on you when things get tough. I'm glad to say that I've made enough friends during my life to actually end up getting a friend like that who could help me edit my fic and correct everything. Seriously I wouldn't like for my fic to be one of the fics that got featured with bad grammar... because seriously that has happened. I don't know how the feature box works but I honestly don't care so long as you people give me feedback and stuff on how to get better. It might get to me, it might upset me getting under my skin... but I need it. I understand that without being scolded about the things I do badly I would never reach the point I have now.

Honestly I kinda feel honored that these writers ((some clearly superior to me)) have talked to me and stuff. I might sounds jealous or incredibly underestimating my abilities but still I wouldn't be here if I hadn't taken the courage to ask each of them for stuff and help. I recognize the importance of listening and I am ready to admit my mistakes.
Also officially declaring "A Changeling's Soul Reflection" on Hiatus until I can figure out how I can do this in a better way. Aka rewrite it. To be fair editing has been what majorly caused my inspiration/motivation for it to stop and I want to find it again but I am currently busy with other projects. In the meantime "A Quest for Knowledge" is going to be updated within the hour! Keep your eyes open!
Same with me I want to restart one of my stories, "The Adventures of Binks' the Human" but with my writing ability as it is I don't believe it'll be good enough at least not yet.
2639076 For me it's not really about writing ability. It's about finding the motivation and time to do it. Many times I tried writing chapters in one go like 4-5k words at once. It didn't work. Now I try to have 1.5-2.5k as to have the mental satisfaction that I actually did something and actually being able to deliver something. I also want to try and rethink it.
