News on the I See Pink Front

I thought that i would give a little update on I See Pink. Currently L0rd0f7hund3r, Guardian and Babs, Camlio, and myself have been working on the Wedding Chapter. It's a major Collaboration and so far we're well over sixteen thousand words into it. Yeah, this is a huge, huge chapter and with good reason. It's the tie in chapter for a bulk of the Vogonverse. It also marks the beginning of the revelation of the power behind Vogon.

So, What are you hoping to see come out of this chapter? What's your thoughts?

Additionally... I have a short poll question. I've got a Luna story lined up to do, but I'm considering another side character. I considered Spitfire, but I'm open to more suggestions.

Also... Out of the ponies in all of MLP:FiM who do you feel would be the one that would pose for Playboy? Because... That may find its way into one of the stories.

I would suggest Nightmare moon other than Luna and for the Playboy scenario probably Fleur or Cadence

Playcolt? Fleur Di Lase, Octavia, Vinyl Scratch, Sapphire Shores, Beautie Brass, Luna in Nightmare Moon form, Aunt Orange, Photofinsh, Sunset Shimmer and Trixie Lulamoon. Those all the ones that seem like they would..... maybe Spitfire and the other wonder bolt mares.

I've considered Nightmare Moon, and several of us that are working in the Vogon Universe have been skyping together. We even managed to put together a return of Nightmare Moon story line in which she's actually brought back as a teenage filly. A teenage filly that is Twilight's student.

Being that this is supposed to be something that would be seen in Playboy I would say tasteful. After all, and I'm quoting Hue here, "Women have traditionally been either put on pedestals or damned as the source of all sexual temptation and sin. These are two sides of the same coin, since both place women in a nonhuman role. Playboy has opposed these warped sexual values and, in so doing, helped women step down from their pedestals and enjoy their natural sexuality as much as men."

And of course also "If you don't encourage healthy sexual expression in public, you get unhealthy sexual expression in private. If you attempt to suppress sex in books, magazines, movies and even everyday conversation, you aren't helping to make sex more private, just more hidden. You're keeping sex in the dark. What we've tried to do is turn on the lights."

So I certainly say tasteful. Because when I write it I plan on making it a statement from the mare who's doing it. Something along the lines of, and I'm using Spitfire as an example:

Playboy's Centerfold's Question and Answer segiment:

Question: So Spitfire, what made you want to do this? It's my understand that with all of you, may I call you ponies?

Spitfire: Of course, that's what we are, and please finish your first question.

Quesiton: Well it's my understanding that since all of you ponies have recently been given equal rights. There's even several ponies who are wholly against the idea of you posing in this.

Spitfire: I know, but there's a good reason why I'm bearing it all. We need to understand that like any sapient being we're sexual beings. It's a given that we're going to have sex. We have the need to make that connection, and we shouldn't be ashamed about it. We need to be proud of the bodies that we have, and we don't need to fall into this belief that we should hide our sexuality.

Question: Is that the message that you're really wanting to send along?

Spitfire: Of course it is. I was approached by a few other magazines, but all of them had reputations for objectifying mares. The reason I chose Playcolt, or I'm sorry Playboy is because of the long standing history this magazine has of trying to express sexuality. The fact that the late Mr. Hefner personally stated that his magazine wasn't about objectifying, but rather about expressing that mares are no different than stallions in the fact that they are sexual creatures spoke to me. In truth, I do wish that he was alive today so that I could talk to him.

Question: Yes, Mr. Hefner was quite a pioneer in this industry, and to be honest I'm fairly sure that he would have loved talking to you. So, what are your plans now? You've officially became a Playboy bunny, and that means living at the Playboy mansion if you want.

Spitfire: Oh, I'm perfectly happy where I am now. My coltfriend has been bragging about being with a Playboy bunny. It's actually rather cute.

Question: You stated before that you're in a polygamist relationship, is that true?

Spitfire: it is, and it is of my own choice. Herding, which is what we called it, wasn't unheard of back where I come from. In truth there was several families that still practiced it.

Question: So the reports that you're bisexual wasn't just merely rumors?

Spitfire: No it's true. I'm bisexual, and I'm quite happy experiencing a healthy relationship with my coltfriend and marefriend.

Question: and speaking of your marefriend, I understand that she turned down a photoshoot, is that correct?

Spitfire: Yes, yes it is. Fleetfoot just didn't feel that doing a photoshoot was the right thing for her to do at the moment. I completely respect her decision about it though.

Question: Is there anything else you'd like to say to any other girls, or mares out there?

Spitfire: Don't be ashamed of yourself. There's a saying that I believe wholeheartedly. Every mare, every single one, is a playmate. We're all special, and there is somepony for everypony. Be proud of your body, and be proud of who you are both spiritually and sexually.

If you think about playboy maybe you can use Rarity, Fleur, or Button's mom, as they're regarded by many fans to be very attractive and experienced. A young version of Granny Smith could work as she admitted in an IDW comic that she used to have many suitors when she was young. However, Chrysalis being the pony equivalent of a succubus could serve as a good substitute.
