So a lot of people are asking for a sequel to Shadow's Enigma. I'm certainly not against it, in fact, I want to continue the story. I have so much more left to write about Sombra in this incarnation.
Allow me to break it down to ya'll. I am planning to write a few fics that take place both after the ending, and during the story, more specifically, the week or so between the Gala and Twilight's corruption. I intentionally left that out so I might have the opportunity to write about a Sombra who was not locked into his new duties at the end of the story. These will be light-hearted stories, more for comedy and fun than anything else. There will also be a handful of stories that take place after the events of Shadow's Enigma. Short and sweet stories that will build up to a true sequel.
This, however, is a lot time into the future. I want to write using other ideas. Not that the Sombra of Shadow's Enigma is boring to me now, I just do not wish to build up my reputation as a Sombra writer on one incarnation alone. If I did, when I do switch, it might be taken negatively. I won't ignore this story, I will probably write a few one shots here and there while I write another 'main' story. But I was just letting ya'll now.
If there is something in particular you all wanted to see in a story that contained Sombra, I'd be happy to hear it. I'm not short on ideas for stories, but I would love to have more than one perspective on things. So for now, I will leave it open for discussion. I'll begin another story, or perhaps adapt one of my earlier, unfinished stories to a Sombra fic. Not entirely sure yet. All I know is that I want to meditate on a story for a while. Last time I began a story on concept alone, I was lost half way through and couldn't finish it like Dragon's Stigma. Anywho, I hope to hear from ya'll soon.
Do you think we can see stories where Sombra ends up with a different mare like Luna, Twilight, Fluttershy, or Celestia. I mean Luna did show interest in Sombra as they have similar personalities so maybe a story where Luna acts as a therapist for Sombra. Twilight may try to find out about Sombra's history and research about dark magic-though this time she hears his advice about not practicing alone- so a story where Twilight and him develop a student-teacher romance would be interesting considering all the jokes RD could make. Additionally, in my opinion, there should be more Twibra stories like the ones made by Lucciden, Shadowy Love, or the Twibra story made by Kayla. Fluttershy, well we both know that there were some people who wished that she and Sombra would be the OTP of the story. Celestia, in my opinion, would be the most interesting pairing given that she had a relationship with a good alternate Sombra from a mirror world in the IDW comics before it ended tragically, so it would be interesting to see her attempting to reform Sombra so that she can have her ideal love in her version of Equestria. Please tell me what you think of this ideas as I found your story and characterization of Sombra to be pleasant. Wow...Long message, huh.

I would love to ship Sombra with all of the mares you said, I would find it rather amusing to have him be such a play boy by accident
I could already think of a few seperate stories that involve a romantic relationship between Sombra and said mares, but they wouldn't have this particular Sombra, it would be a new incarnation all together. A new past, a new personality, ect. I'm all for an alternate ending, but I can see it getting old real fast if that's all I did.
2415726 I was thinking that all of the mares sans Fluttershy should have romances with different versions of Sombra. In the case of Fluttershy, I would like an alternate ending but if you can come up with a story where she hooks up with a different Sombra, then that would be OK too.
2415758 One alternate ending wouldn't be so bad. Sure, I could think of something. Though it really needs to be a bit more creative than just switching Pinkie for Fluttershy in the later chapters.
They say that even the wave created by the wings of a butterfly can change the course of History. Perhaps if Sombra chose Fluttershy early on, all the events of Shadow's Enigma would change.
Hmm...I need some time to think this through.
How do you think Sombra might react should he spend more time learning about Zebra culture, an OC mind you not Zecora no need to add more to the love train, or some other culture.
For now I'll just wait for all the stories you came up with that you told us about earlier. Don't want to distract you from them at the moment.
It's not a 'magnificent' idea, more of a thought, but I always wondered how a Rainbow Dash amd Sombra shipping would work out if written. I mean Rainbow is awesome and Sombra, especially the way you wrote him, is awesome.

In my head, RD plays out to be a tsundere when it comes to romance, even more, she wouldn't betray her friends if she had to choose between an evil Tyrant and her Home. Maybe if Sombra was disguised as a normal pony and they just happen to hit it off.
I would have to sit on it for a while to find a good way of pairing them

I would have to create a whole system and civilization for Sombra to discover, the concept itself is great, I can definitely see him being so confused about the magic of Earth Ponies....much like the fanbase already is
Yeah, I could already see it. After the events of the season 3 opener Sombra regenerates but is wounded. Walks aimlessly until he collapses from exhaustion and wakes up in a hut where a zebra had been nursing him back to health.
That too cliche? Perhaps I can spice up the story a bit more. I have a lot to think about. I like I'm going to have to add another blog where I write out ALL of my story concepts like last time, only now I have a much...much longer list.
