Although it left it, it knew that it was right, it made it down, because it didn't know what's up.

    You were the Chosen One!

    Alas, it was not so.

So as many of you may have surmised, I have violently but silently passed away.

That is to say I am dead.

Not in the literal sense, but possibly in the literary sense.

To make things short, I had a bit of a breakdown, a couple of other mundane life-things and a lack of time to even consider writing.

    Microstory X - Awkward Twilight

    It happened at a bookstore.

    "Hello," said the clerk.

    "Morning," Twilight mumbled back.

The clerk returned a strained smile back and then went back to work.

Twilight then realised in her half-tired state that it wasn't morning, it was the evening, the store was closed and it wasn't a bookstore, and the clerk wasn't there and she had been talking to a cardboard sign all this time.

    Microstory IX - The Existence

Before Twilight could say anything, Pinkie held up her hoof.

"Twilight, stop, before you say anything. I have to say something!"

    Silence followed.

"What were you going to say?"

    "...I forgot."

"Pinkie... what are you doing on my doorstep?"

"Twilight, you have to help me with my application!"

"What's this?" She held the documents up. "These look like job... rejections?"

Micro Story VIII - The Rock

It started with a slight clicking sound.

Like the fingernails tapping on a tabletop.

    Click. Click. Click.

There it sat on her desk.

    The rock.

Eyes fixated on the inanimate object, Twilight examined it with such rigour.

    But it stood still.

    Yet still was that sound.

    Click. Click. Click.

    Then a different sound.

    Crack.

    Micro Story VII

Twilight glanced out the windows at the dim backdrop of stars.

Night time, she thought, and lazily went back to reading.

Then she returned back to the window.

    No wait, that's space!

Thank You Synch Readers! · 11:00am Aug 11th, 2014

I'd like to personally thank all Synch readers who have personally liked or favourited or even down voted (disliked) Synch, thank you for giving it a read. I am personally trying to get my writing style better and better and the motivation from your favourites and your likes drives me to make more and more frequent updates.

Here's a personal word from our character!

"Hello! Are you there?"

"What? Who is this?"

"I'm the author."

"The auth- What?"

"You're a character in a story I brought you here to say 'Hi!' to our readers!"

"I'm... fictional?"

"Yep."

"Oh my, oh my, oh my, oh my..."

"Hello?"

"Hello?"

Okay... I think I broke the main character. While I get him back online you can directly ask any character from Equestria and or the world of Synch and I'll update this blog post to include a response! (I can't guarantee a truthful or a direct answer though, so be careful what you ask!). Post a comment below and I'll get right to it as soon as I can. But be quick this service will only last for 48 hours!

Question:

How many are still sleeping.

I'll guess I'll answer this as an author:

This information is only to this date, some may change later as the story progresses (as planned).

When Synchrony made its first debut there were less than ten or so odd cases of sleeping, they quickly awoke. The remainder of just under a hundred isolated cases of the 'personality wipes' occurred from Synchrony, they were privately moved to a separate facility funded by Grooble and became the first cases of Sunken patients. When Synchrony came back over half a million people were affected, this time the program was more selective, though due to an unknown criteria. If you count brain dead as 'sleeping' then roughly three hundred and twenty five thousand people are currently asleep. One hundred and twenty five thousand (bear in mind these are rough numbers) woke up with personality wipes while two hundred and fifty thousand (a quarter of a million) are currently sleeping, with no cure in sight. Even when Synchrony was erased the remaining quarter of million are still sleeping and were moved to private hospital care.

The rest unfortunately, died.
