Although it left it, it knew that it was right, it made it down, because it didn't know what's up.

    You were the Chosen One!

    Alas, it was not so.

So as many of you may have surmised, I have violently but silently passed away.

That is to say I am dead.

Not in the literal sense, but possibly in the literary sense.

To make things short, I had a bit of a breakdown, a couple of other mundane life-things and a lack of time to even consider writing.

    Microstory X - Awkward Twilight

    It happened at a bookstore.

    "Hello," said the clerk.

    "Morning," Twilight mumbled back.

The clerk returned a strained smile back and then went back to work.

Twilight then realised in her half-tired state that it wasn't morning, it was the evening, the store was closed and it wasn't a bookstore, and the clerk wasn't there and she had been talking to a cardboard sign all this time.

    Microstory IX - The Existence

Before Twilight could say anything, Pinkie held up her hoof.

"Twilight, stop, before you say anything. I have to say something!"

    Silence followed.

"What were you going to say?"

    "...I forgot."

"Pinkie... what are you doing on my doorstep?"

"Twilight, you have to help me with my application!"

"What's this?" She held the documents up. "These look like job... rejections?"

Micro Story VIII - The Rock

It started with a slight clicking sound.

Like the fingernails tapping on a tabletop.

    Click. Click. Click.

There it sat on her desk.

    The rock.

Eyes fixated on the inanimate object, Twilight examined it with such rigour.

    But it stood still.

    Yet still was that sound.

    Click. Click. Click.

    Then a different sound.

    Crack.

    Micro Story VII

Twilight glanced out the windows at the dim backdrop of stars.

Night time, she thought, and lazily went back to reading.

Then she returned back to the window.

    No wait, that's space!

Now, I have some time on my hands and for the first time in a loooooong while (about a year or so) I came back.

I won't hold delusions that I was missed, because I had been steadily withdrawing from writing for a while.

Unfortunately, I have mostly moved on and I want to sincerely thank you for coming on this journey so far. While I may publish updates in the future, there will be no more new stories and updates will be far and few between. I'm so sorry, but the circumstances, especially now more than ever mean that I have to channel my energy into financial instruments capable of sustaining my life. That is to say I have to work more, so I don't have as much time to write. I'm deeply sorry.

DUDE! You gave me one hell of a scare with what you said. Holy shit my heart was dropping when I started reading this. Not cool man, not cool.

Oh gees, sorry! I actually feel really bad for that!

It's ok now man, but when I read this;

That is to say I am dead.

I felt sad and I was like, 'oh fuck another writer is dead, fuck man this month sucks'.

I won't hold delusions that I was missed, because I had been steadily withdrawing from writing for a while.

Bullshit.

These three stories of yours are in my "Can't Sleep" top shelf bookshelf, reserved for stories that I consider better than the rest, and read them when I struggle with sleep.

Other authors may have two at the most.

I won't hold delusions that I was missed, because I had been steadily withdrawing from writing for a while.

To paraphrase Gyro Pony down there and take a leaf out of marshmallow:

Don't be ridiculous, darling.

To add to what I said in your user page, I very much enjoyed your stories, not only Hell Yeah, and if ever you change your mind about writing, I'llー nay, we'll be here.

You should take care of yourself first, but if circumstances permit, I would like you to reconsider. It would be wonderful.

Until next time, and take care.

Don't feel bad about it, life comes first.
But know that you will be missed because it is always such a delight to read your stories.
See you next time and take care!

Yeah, it's been kinda depressing how often lines like that have been showing up in recent years.

5228984
From what Gyro and Yutah up there said it appears you've got a rather dedicated, if relatively small, fanbase here so I wouldn't worry about not being missed if I were you; I also wouldn't worry too much about disappointing them since if they've waited this long they certainly aren't going to be bothered by an increase in production (0.5% is still bigger than 0% after all ).

Take care of yourself man, horsewords are nice but unless you're getting paid for them work is more important.

Unfortunately, I have mostly moved on

How could you do this! It was said that you would destroy the Sith, not join them!

Anyway, you're a cool person, don't forget that, and we appreciate your stories.
The pressure to meet people's expectations is insidious, so please don't let it get to you too hard.

Sunny, I've been keeping up with you for years. It's sad and heavy as hell to hear this from you of all authors here; you've been a household name to me, and it really does hurt. I'm not upset with your decision, as I suppose it really is getting to the point where we need to move on, but dammit if I can't show how down I am to hear a writer like you dropping behind in the horse-words arms race. I'm really going to miss new stories from you.

Thank you for sticking around for so long. Even though it's now been well over 3 years since a glitch with a site update wiped my shelves, I still have had yet to reshelve most of your works. When I get to my own opening in free time, I'm hoping I'll remember to check your library out once again.

You really are one of the most memorable names of all the users on this site to me. Thank you for the years of your work, and I hope that you find satisfaction in life, and for healthy coffers. Take care, Sunny.

Real-life. The evil thing which gets all of us one day. While it's sad news, it's also perfectly understandable and time to move on for you.
I wish you all the best in all that's to come at the very least!

i kinda missed you
unless you don't want to not be missed because that puts pressure on you, than i'm sorry

The good thing is that most of your stories are complete and they are a lot, and the incomplete ones have been stuck in the same place for years. it isnt like you are dissapearing with a bunch of unfinished fics
