It might be a bit soon between my last blog and this one, but dammit if I'm not completely and utterly annoyed by this sort of dumbassery. I've been seeing a fair few threesome/foursome fics put into orgy folders in serveral groups I belong to, and I just figured I make a quick public service announcement.
A threesome is not an orgy. Neither is a foursome. Typically, an orgy involves at the very least five participants. So stop calling threesomes and foursomes orgies before I... be very disappointed with your lack of knowledge, I guess. Look, I know we're a fandom comprised mostly of neckbearded virgins, but at the very least this single caveate can be handled, ja?
So please don't put threesomes or foursomes into orgy folders for groups, because it is making it really hard for me people to find fics that actually have legitimate orgies in them. The term "orgy" is not subjective, at least underneath the circumstances of number of participants. Get your act together, fellas. Well-written orgy fics are hard as hell to find already without it getting muddled up by the unknowledgeable 13-year-old masses. At the very least, if I'm wrong, tell me and tell me why exactly I'm wrong, and how threesomes and foursomes are orgies.
I'm wearing this into the ground by now and being all pompous and pretentious, sorry, but gosh darn does it bother me that you people don't know the difference. Let me have my stupid for a moment.

Foursomes CAN count, but only if they swap partners at least once and operate at least two separate sexual units at a time.

Unless someone can show evidence the actual majority of bronies is made up of neckbeards or people who act like these so-called "fedora-tippers" (in most pics i see they're actually trilbies, not fedoras). If people on FiMFiction, a My Little Pony fanfiction site begin to make fun of people in the fandom, that's going to make it a thousand times easier for people outside of it to make fun of it and cause bigger problems for individual people.
This is just something I wanted to say because I'm damn sick of hearing all this fedora/neckbeard nonsense. In the end it's just a large group of people throwing insults at another large group of people.

I wouldn't class 3-4-somes as orgies normally, but I am guilty of lumping them together with orgies sometimes (never in the case of adding them all to an orgy folder, however). I guess I'm starting to lose touch with my inner pervert. Thank Luna we have you to keep us on the straight and narrow.
