    Seashell paperback incoming!

Once again, the proof copy is out for delivery right now.

The hardcover edition proof copy turned out great - some text mistakes to fix, but no printing errors that aren't mine! Lulu can print a book to specifications! Yay!

    Seashell: getting closer to print!

Here's where we are on the Seashell print book:
83 pages all told, including front matter and a preface. 75 of them so far are story. Anticipating about 10-20 more pages to be finished. Almost there!
Cover's done (for the hardcover edition dust-jacket, at least, will probably have to be redone for the paperback but whatever).

You know that part of the story... · 7:18am Jul 18th, 2014

... That's between the first few chapters you were excited to get the process of writing rolling with, and the later ones where you really anticipate getting into the most major themes and deepest purposes you'd intended for the story? The one you're not as excited about but you have to write it because it connects those other two?

That's kind of where I am with the sequel to Seashell. Don't get me wrong, I'm not disliking writing it, I've just been sort of at a point of blockage that's slowed me down. I've got it mostly worked out, though, I think. The pace should pick up a bit once I get the next little bit done and really dive into what I think is going to be the most interesting part.

So, yeah, I know it's been a little while since you've seen anything new from me, but overall, I think the story's turning out pretty well!

Anyone who wanted to get a closer look at the Seawall and what being deployed there is like, you're going to love this one. I'm also having a blast writing the far more extensive interactions this time around between Sunburst and Azure Sky, so look forward to that, too. Azure Sky is older, now, so those interactions aren't as much of the "cute fluffy stuff" like they were through most of Seashell (sorry if that's what you were hoping for - though that does give me ideas for potential spin-off stories told from a young Azure's perspective), but it only makes the two of them bounce off each other and work together that much better.

Oh, and I've also decided on a title: "Ghost Lights".

Also, I've been editing a couple of things, here and there, just to lend a hoof to an author whose first language isn't English.
Those stories are:
Love isn't easy (but it sure is hard enough), and
Springtime; Ponyville.
They're nothing terribly heavy or dense in literary meaning, just fairly short little TwiDash (among other shippings in the second one) pieces of character introspection that are fun to read. Thanks to The Frank for letting me help. :)

When will you be posting the first chapter?

2296373 I don't really know. I'd like to have it all written before I do, and I'm not sure how long it's going to be. My only real plan is to take as long as it takes to get the whole story told. There's quite a bit left to do of that.

This is a pain I know very, very well >.>
