Summary:

She couldn't see the meteors streaking overhead. Rainbow Dash told her to keep her eyes closed.

She could feel the stallion's hoof, wrapping more tightly around her neck. She didn't peek.

She could hear the raspy, strangled sobs. Still, her eyes stayed shut.

Keep them closed, she said. Don't open them, no matter what.

So Scootaloo didn't.
