Lyra, do you think you will ever be able to have foals (or whatever they end up being) with Don? If it ends up not being possible, would you think of adopting?

Lyra: I really hope that I can have foals with Don. I mean I want to wait until we're married, but I do want foals one day. If we can't have foals I would consider adopting, but I really want to have Don's foals. Maybe that's selfish of me, but I would like to think that it isn't.
Hey, you two. Rumble got dealt a bad hand after estrus. Are either of you thinking of trying to help him out with his situation? He's pretty torn up over not getting to raise his foal.

Don: What happened to Rumble sucked pretty hard. I plan on being there for him when he wants to talk, and I think that I should suggest that maybe he have this taken up with Mr. Rich.
Lyra: are you sure that's a good idea?
Don: don't you think that Filthy Rich would help make sure that Rumble got to see his foal?
Lyra: Maybe, but it is his daughter. He might be a little upset.
Don: Isn't that kind of a double standard?
Lyra: I suppose, but maybe we should go with him to talk to Mr. Rich.

lyra, you said you think you might not be able to get pregnant? did you ever ask the hospital to check? maybe have don checked to make sure he isn't sterile. >.> you could also send a letter to zecora and ask her for help, maybe she can bring you something to the wedding?
also, does estrus only come once a year or twice? a few fan fics i have read says that estrus hits once in spring then again in fall. is it also possible for a mare to get pregnant year round? it seems many ponies do not have birthdays which would coincide with the estrus season.
don, seems like after diamond and rumble go that cabin open a lot of ponyville residents use it now?

Lyra: The Doctor's did a basic check when I went to see if I was Pregnant. Of course mainly it's checking to see if there is a spark of new magic inside of me. I didn't think to ask them to check to see if there was something physically wrong. I know I should the next time I go in for something... I'm just a little scared to. Zecora? I thought about sending a letter through, and I think that i still will. After all, if she help cure the cutie pox then I'm sure she might be able to help with this.
Don: Yeah, it seems like the cabin has been used a whole lot since Diamond and Rumble got it opened. I'm kind of wondering what Ponyville is going to do with it.
Lyra: Don, the next time I go get a check up do you think that you could come with me and get checked as well. I mean to make sure that everything is fine with you.
Don: *raises eyebrow* Okay, I had a physical before I came over, but they didn't check for that. Sure... I can go with you.
Lyra: Oh Estrus only comes once a year. The Maneanites only have sex during it, and from what I've been told from a few ponies who left that religion they try to act like they don't like then either. There's a few of us who enjoy sex enough to do it outside of Estrus, but a lot of mares don't really seem to mind teasing the stallions until the week of Estrus... Then... Well things can get a little insane.
Actually... There are a few ponies who are on a different cycle. While Hearts and Hooves day is the most celebrated, and famous, start of the Estrus Cycle for most of Equestria it's not the only one. There is another cycle, for some mares, that starts around Hearts Warming. I hard that some of the ponies that have Earth and Pegasus parents have two Estrus Cycles, but I haven't really noticed it before. Most of us unicorns have just one, but not all of us have it at the same time. Also, there is some medicine that helps jump start the cycle if a mare wants to try to conceive before one of the major cycles.
I should say though that most of the mares in Equestria fall under the Cycle that starts with Hearts and Hooves day.

do you think Celestia is xenophobic to humans? it seems to get mentioned a lot that she asks a lot of them to leave the country to either another kingdom or back to earth.

also to you both. what would happen if... ponies showed up who look more like ponies in the show and not like ponies in your equestria?

Don: Actually Discord has made a few of the ponies look like their cartoon counterparts. He thought it was funny as hell.
Lyra: I remember that... Bulging Bicepts... Well, actually he's enjoyed going by Snowflake now. Anyway, Discord made him look like a cartoon version of himself for a while. He was so upset.
Discord: I'm not sure if Fluttershy can or not, but I do know that she's been knitting, and asking me if I like my house or her house better. I'm not exactly sure what she means, but when your friends.. Well actually more than friends now. Anyway, you do things for each other. I told her which ever house she liked the most.
Lyra: Actually, I don't think that Princess Celestia is at all. Mostly the humans that had been asked to leave kind of acted out a bit. When she asked them to leave it was because of how they were disruptive and kind of violent toward each other. The Bronies that came over were pretty nice, but most of them didn't stay in Ponyville.
Don: Yeah, I heard that the few bronies that are still here have moved out to Las Pegasus, Los Pegasus, Applewood, and Manehattan. From what I've heard John and I are the only two that have lasted this long in Ponyville. And yes... I did fall in some Poison Joke. I wasn't funny.
Lyra: It was beyond funny! He turned into a human female! Actually, you were pretty cute like that.
Don: it wasn't funny.
Lyra: it was a little. Besides a dip in that solution at the Spa cured it. Oh, and a Pony getting stuck in an Estrus cycle... Yeah, Don flinched when you asked that, but that's more than scary... That would be dangerous. I wouldn't want to be around a mare stuck like that.
Don: So, do the princesses go through Estrus?
Lyra: I don't know.
Discord: They do.
Don and Lyra: how do you know?
Discord: Being frozen in stone doesn't stop me from seeing things, and by things I mean things that I can never, ever unsee. Such as Princess Luna dragging a lunar pegasus guard off to be her special somepony for a week. Celestia... You don't even want to know what she did.

also, yes, a friend of mine is a mare who is stuck in estrus, she doesn't have wild urges after being stuck for so long but, even so she is too much of a friend.... she is also a full grown mare who is Scootaloo's size.

Don, did you get a translation spell on you when you came to Equestria or does the ambient magic make it unnecessary? If you did, does it have to be renewed periodically?

Lyra: Okay... Oh, actually I'm supposed to try out for the Symphony in a couple of weeks. Don has really helped me save up enough for the trip. I really hope that I can get into it. I'd be the second pony in Ponyville to have played for the Canterlot Royal Symphony if I do.
Discord: Celestia does like to pull her little pranks, but when someone summons a mere hundred foot Marshmallow mare everypony goes to screaming and she gets all upset. Luna does like the cabinet games that are out near the fairs.
Don: actually, I'm thinking that it's more likely the magic of this world is affecting the technology. I mean some things work fine, and hell, even VHS players and recorders work if a unicorn has placed an enchantment on them.

Don: Actually the translation spells are pretty much automatically applied when arriving in Equestria. From what Lyra has told me the ambient magic of this world makes having to repeat a translation spell here fairly pointless. I know that before any pony leaves they have to have a translation spell cast directly on them, so I'm guessing that without it being cast a pony wouldn't be able to understand anything a human said. It must be since magic is pretty much non functioning in our world.

well lyra, I wouldn't feel to bad about this frozen treat.... >.> the outside popsicle part only tastes good at first, it quickly tastes like silly putty once it gets warmed up.... a piece of it is still stuck to the garbage can lid... it doesn't melt!

I bet your guys have interesting icecreams and treats anyways, like walking gummy bears and gingerbread cookies? maybe ice cream that is red and white that spins like a barber pole or chaanges colors in a strobe like effect in a rainbow of colors?

I know the translation spell came up once for Louis and Pinkie when she was trying to tell him what the small appendage in pony hooves is called and the spell kept making her call it a "thumb".
Lyra (or anypony else that might know,) could the translation spell translate between human languages or only to/from Equestrian? (Equish? I don't recall if pony language got an official name in the R4R-verse.)

Lyra: Hmmm... Actually I did use a magically charged ruby for Don's VHS player. It seems to work fine, but we really haven't wanted to use it much after the last time. Oh, we have some really good treats, but with the exception of Nightmare Night we're not supposed to make any of our candies have the ability to walk or anything. On Nightmare night though we can make them have the ability to run and scream. It's actually kind of cute to watch the foals chase the gummy creatures.
The only Dragon I know personally is Spike, and he kind of wanted to go at first, but he doesn't seem to mind being left behind too much now. In fact he's been spending quite a bit of time with Scootaloo.
Don: Well, the only Pony I really met before coming here was Pinkie Pie. That said I wouldn't put it past her. She did several crazy things daily.
Discord: She enjoys Strawberry Swirl cake the best, and I've seen her eat ten small cakes a day. Let's see... It should be right about now... *Snaps Claws and a frosted Cake with a piece missing appears* An untouched cake appears.*
Hmmm... an untouched cake... Celestia must not be in Canterlot at the moment.

Luna: The spell created by Starswirl, which is our current translations spell, is able to translate any spoken language used by a sapient being. It does have some draw backs though. If a certain word doesn't exist in another language the closest word possible is substituted. Starswirl didn't get to finish the spell since he was attempting to create it during the week following Hearts and hooves... In truth our sister barely left the poor stallion alone long enough to get any sleep. I'm surprised he managed to craft the spells he did during that week.

lyra, a lot of people say your mint colored, but I think your lime daquri colored. just wanted to put that out there. maybe you should try some lime scented perfumes/shampoos.

Don: I've actually heard that there's a few cars in Las Pegasus, but it's mainly for the humans living there. The ponies, for the most part, don't really seem too interested in owning a car. I've heard Mr. Rich talk about possibly getting a panel truck, but I haven't seen that happen yet. The what and what? oh those things. I don't know if they would or not. I haven't really seen anything too digital over here yet. In fact most watches are still analogue. The VHS players about the newest thing, although we're supposed to be getting the Nintari Play System before too long. (Remember that it is a different universe. The Nintari is kind of like the original Nintendo). When we do I'm sure that Button Mash is going to want to play every game available. He's already played and beaten all of the arcade games in Ponyville.
Lyra: Actually I did get a lime scented mane and fur body wash when Bonny was here. I didn't much care for it. I actually prefer lavender, and Don seems to like it really well. Oh, and to answer your question about Spike and Scootaloo... I don't know for sure, but pretty much everypony disappeared together on Hearts and Hooves day.
Discord: What didn't they do. The first year of my imprisonment Luna decided to paint my talons and hoof. Celestia decided to read tax law to me. Of course shortly after they decided to just leave me in that state. It wasn't fun, but I could still see and hear everything happening around me.

Discord: Let's just say that those specific birds have found themselves in the gryphon empire, and Twilight, when she was a little filly, did manage to cast a short term coloring spell on me. It was enough to make Celestia charge out into the garden. It was a lovely prank.
Don: Yeah, I know the digital pets thing... I just haven't seen any of them here. although if they ever come over I have a feeling that Fluttershy will be the most into them. And for the most part, on our end anyway, a gate pass costs about what a trip to Europe would cost. It's not so expensive that people can't go, but when you've worked retail winning a contest is about the only way of getting one. I'm glad that I was just lucky that day.
Apple Bloom: Actually... Ah've been kind of sweet on one of the colts Ah went to school with. The problem is he's so hung up on Silver Spoon and Diamond Tiara... Ah just don't think that he's interested in a farm pony like me.
Lyra: Actually I have fell in once. When I did It made me an Earth pony. Bon Bon loved it, but I couldn't stand it. I hated not having my magic. I'm not sure about the effects of Poison Joke, but I've been told that for most ponies it's pretty much the same situation each time they fall in.
Luna: Actually, we've heard of some problems dealing with smuggling in Las Pegasus and Los Pegasus. I've informed the guard to check on it, but I fear that the criminal elements there have long learned how to avoid the guard's searches.
