I'm a writer of fluff, kibitzer, and especially interested in canon AU: Equestria Girls, the comics, etc. They are fun to play with.

    Follow-up on that stalker thing

He seems to have gone quiet for now. I'm assuming the admins managed to smack down all of those alts. I haven't seen any new material on Tumblr or DeviantArt, either.

Speaking of DeviantArt, here's the reply I got from them:

    Thanks for getting in touch!

A member of the DeviantArt staff has reviewed this situation, and we have taken appropriate steps to resolve the problem.

    Just so you know...

There's a person on here who has been creating alts and harassing me. I keep getting posts like "why have you stopped talking to me? Tell me what I did. I need closure." I'm also getting PMs along the order of "yo, why are you ignoring X? I thought you were friends."

    I lurk

I know some people have asked why I won’t say anything, etc., but the truth is that I lurk. I sign in to see something, usually to re-read Rage Reviews. There are some things I can’t see unless I’m a bonafide member over a certain age. And then I just don’t ever log out, but I’m not “here” and ignoring anyone on purpose.

Some people make themselves very, very unhappy

Haven't been around much, but then, you knew that. Busyness, health issues, and frankly a whole lot of depression. Even ponies weren't interesting me very much anymore. I had a ticket to go to EQLA and a party that same weekend, and I did not go to either.

    Hey guys guys guys

So, hi, you haven't probably seen much from me, and that is primarily because I have been sucked in again by my primary fandom, Harry Potter. Which isn't surprising, considering that I help run a convention and teach a course on it and am the school's club's faculty advisor and have given talks on it for, oh, over a decade.

So for me, for the last few months, it has been mostly about:

Thanks for everything, especially new followers! · 4:22pm Jun 23rd, 2014

It's up to 150 now. I'm guessing a lot of people like sentimental CheesePie. Or something. But in a way, I'm still scratching my head about it!

Anyway, thanks to ALL of you guys for following me, and not just the new ones, but the people who started watching me way back when I was new here and who have stuck with me all that time. Apologies also if I didn't get back to you to say "hi" or "thanks" personally. The new notification system wipes things super-fast, and sometimes I'm just not quick enough.

I know some people do stories as gifts and even have story polls, and I'll see what I can do, but I don't write that quickly. "Good Morning, Beautiful" was supposed to be fast, but it took a few days--several hours per day. Equestria Games--The Cheese Course took most of a day, and that was intentionally fast.

So until I think something up, have a hug from Pinkie Pie. And if there IS something you particularly like or want to see more of, let me know in the comments section or something.

Congrats on your 150 followers!:pinkiehappy:

I noticed it a lot when it was around 125-135. It then seemed to have shot up quite a bit. I'm guessing having a featured fic will do that to you. But yeah, congrats on the milestone. Maybe we'll see an increase in CheesePie after this slight fame.

As for future endeavours...

Twilight Pushes Flash Sentry Off A Cliff. I'm serious, I'd like to see you tackle it. It's been rotting in my brain all this time, but I just don't think I'll ever write it.

I did have this on-going idea for a story regarding Boneless. It's a first-person from Boneless's perspective, who is actually alive. By alive, I mean he only has a conscious. He can't act, speak or do anything, but he knows what's going on around him. He mentally screams when Cheese takes him away from the party that he stumbled into that day, hating the colt for months, until he develops a little Stockholm Syndrome, enjoying the parties everywhere they go. Cheese also seems to be the only one who can tell he is 'alive' too, though technically he really just speaks his heart out to Boneless. He still misses Master Pinkie though throughout their travels, and when he's finally reunited with her, he goes mental mentally. But then it all ends for him upon his 'sacrifice', where he then helps save Equestria from Tirek, but is still sort of around, being inside of Pinkie forever, always going to be with her. He couldn't wish for anything more.

I come up with some crazy ideas sometimes. But I think it's rather neat, if a little "wut?" I don't know if I'll ever write this, so really, I'm offering it here. First-person is still something I'm getting a little used to, so this would likely be in the dust for ages.

Or, just for the occasion, you could go out of your way to write a Cheese/Coco ship. The one you hate. If you'd choose to do a poll for various suggestions, this has got to be on there! ...Only if you'd be willing to do it of course. Going out of your way to write something you hate... yeah.

That's my two cents on this. I'm probably an evil person just suggesting two of these things, but seriously, I'd like to see a poll of possible stories. Be nice to see different directions you might be taking, the CheesePie series or not.

Oh, and Pinkie has just hugged me for 114th time now.

2228391 Thanks!

2228453 Pinkie hugs are great!

Eh, I wouldn't write Coco/Cheese to please a dying grandmother. Well, maybe to please a dying grandmother, but you see what I mean. BRAEBURN/Cheese, now--that's something else again. But it's on beyond disliking the pairing--Coco gets on my nerves. I liked her ok for about half an hour, until former Fluttershy fans went out en masse to crown her their new moe-moe waifu and even suggest that she should take Fluttershy's place on the show, and then I got pissed. I go out of my way to read Coco Pommel fics, hoping that someone can get me to like her. The Princess Rarity is sloooowly bringing me around, I think.

I do have something up my sleeve that I think you might like, but I don't think many readers would thank me for, so I'm saving it for later.

If I wrote Twilight Pushes Flash Sentry Off A Cliff, it would probably be for the cameras and they'd turn out to be friends!

Pinkie is actually a trained nurse. Well, she's a pet rock veterinarian, but there's not that much difference between the two. :pinkiecrazy:

In any case, congratulations on completing your Pokédex.

Eh, Coco kind of reminds me of Betty Suarez from Ugly Betty, which gives me some sympathy for her.

2228767 It's Coco as the "new Fluttershy" that bothered me. That was right after Flutterhulk and Flutterbat. I enjoyed seeing her rage and the ways in which it was and wasn't justified. I liked seeing her have some courage and convictions and doing things that maybe some would disagree with. And I think some people went off her at that point--maybe the same people who absolutely trashed Pinkie Pie for daring to make Fluttershy cry in Filli Vanilli.

Kind of ruined both of those episodes for me, and certainly left a bad taste in my mouth about Coco.

Hmmm... I can't even remember what I followed you for.
*checks your stories because he is legitimately curious how you ended up in his feed*
Oh, it was the first fic you had. Bit surprised at myself for never having bothered reading any of your other stuff, since I've read a good deal of your blogs about your other stuff.

2229500 You mean the Babs Seed one? That was a while ago! I hope I've improved since then, but I'm also glad I wrote it.

Coco actually doesn't have much canon characterization, she's just a "nice girl who serves a bad boss and risks corruption by her." This is actually why I think she may have been inspired by Betty Suarez, the scenario being "Betty as she would be if she worked for Wilhelmina" (don't know if you've ever seen Ugly Betty). The episode from her POV shows her nearly embarking on the same path that Suri took before her (Suri was implicitly once a nice person, back when Rarity knew her -- just as Wilhemina appears to have once been a rather likeable person, similar in many respects to Bettty), and being saved by Rarity's example. Which is, y'know, cool and uplifting, but scarcely equivalent to the deep characterization Fluttershy gets even in canon..

Indeed, part of the reason why many fans seem to have given up a bit on Fluttershy is because she's gotten character development. They want Fluttershy to be the timid yellow-and-pink fuzzball of Woobified Incorruptibly Pure Pureness that she seemed to be in Season One (if you didn't pay attention to her more complex behavior and dialogue) rather than the increasingly self-confident and relatively outgoing mare she's become by now. Mind you, Fluttershy is still very nice, and she's still introverted -- she's just not as emotionally damaged as she was in Season One. And she has more developed character traits, so it's not as easy to just project anything one wants on her.

Personally, I'm glad that Fluttershy's gotten coherent and consistent character development. This sort of character arc is what makes Friendship Is Magic such a good series.

Meanwhile, Coco's only been important to one episode, and has had a very limited emotional range in that episode to boot. So we can fantasize whatever we like about her -- she could be utterly sweet, mostly bitchy, brilliant like Betty Suarez, or of merely average intelligence. I think she's basically an intelligent, fundamentally nice mare, but I don't really know -- not in the way that I do even the canon version of Fluttershy.

Fluttershy's not perfect. Nor, for that matter, is Pinkie Pie. Though I love both of them, and have portrayed them as good and heroic Ponies in my stories. Fluttershy can bottle up her anger too long and overreact when she finally lets loose. And Pinkie Pie's manic friendliness can be insensitive, especially when unleashed on a shy introvert. And that just makes them believable characters, not bad Ponies

Well deserved, sir. CheesePie is the best ship in the fandom (IMHO), and you are writing it well and in a believable way.

2229664 No, it's the Scootaloo gets raise by chickens one. I have no idea how I even found it though in hindsight, because I wasn't on fimfic when you wrote it and it doesn't have a good enough like-to-dislike ratio for me to find while just browsing on fimfic. Maybe someone made a recommendation blog or something for underated stories.

2231478 WOW. That does go back a way! I'm impressed that you stuck with me after that one!
