Attention all War Machine fans!

I got a message this morning from Mr. Spiffy stating that after the last chapter, he'd lost interest in continuing the story. Mainly he started it so that he could learn how to write, and after the four chapters we worked on together, he felt that he'd learned what he wanted to. And that's fair enough, if you ask me. He's shown massive improvement over the time he's been working on the story, and he could probably write without an editor now if he wanted to. But he was just interested in learning a skill, not so much story-writing itself or War Machine specifically. Since he didn't want it to die without him, however, he decided it best if I take over and continue it for him, which I am now going to do.

So, what does this all mean? It means that for all of you that follow me already, DannyJ is now taking on yet another project. Fortunately, this one isn't going to slow me down so much. Whenever I'm late with anything, the reason is usually that instead of writing, I'm spending all my time planning stuff. 80% of all my time spent on a project is the planning stages. I actually write very fast, even though you wouldn't know it with my update rate. And War Machine is already completely planned out from start to finish, so we don't have a problem. For those of you waiting on a new update for Human or Courier's Journal or whatever else you follow me for, this won't impact my schedule that much. Not that I won't be late for other reasons, but them's the brakes.

As for those of you who already read War Machine, you can expect the story to remain mostly unchanged. I'm sticking to the notes that me and Spiffy already had, so the story direction or characterisation won't change from its intended course. You probably won't notice much of a difference in writing style, either. Spiffy learned most of his style from me and following my advice, so we write pretty similiar to begin with. I think I'm a little less purple than he is, but I'll try to keep everything consistent. If all goes well, you won't even notice it's being witten by different guys.

However, some changes are necessary, so I shall list what you can expect to be different here:
1. American spelling is heretical. From now on, War Machine will be written in proper British English rather than the language of the colonies. God save the Queen.
2. Spiffy always protested it before, but he can no longer stop me, so from now on Starlight is being replaced as our principle protagonist by my OC Deathraven Nightshroud, who is a black and red alicorn with six horns and eight wings who was Celestia and Luna's older brother until he killed their parents because they were possessed by demons and it's so sad you guise.
3. I'm changing the genre and setting as well. War Machine is now a romantic comedy about the Purifier Academy, and a major focus will be the drama of high school life.
4. This story is now also set in the My Little Dashie universe, so that I can get more views, and Ambition's secret identity will eventually be revealed as Mr. No-Parents from that story.

Other than that, everything will remain completely the same.

No points for guessing which one of those four is actually something that's changing.

Anyway, that's all for now. Go read War Machine if you haven't already. And if you have already read it, new chapters will be out soon, and I promise not to fuck it up too badly.
