It's a last blog, I promise.
My original sentence:
It can be seen that between the examinations on 14th and 28th day after administering the sodium iodate the decrease in retinal thickness is minimal.
My supervisor's suggestion:
It can be seen that between the examinationson 14th and 28th day and third monthafter administering the sodium iodate the decrease in retinal thickness is minimal.
Okay, I might be slightly drunk (in fact I feel sober now), but she probably was high...
What the hell kind of correction is that? What's left makes no sense.

Exactly. I have a feeling that she corrects it randomly. She also wants me to check some of the results once more, because the statistics looks too good.
This actually might be true, as this particular group of mice was only partially made by me and whoever started it had no idea what he/she was doing. So, those results are a mix of the work of me, someone else and someone who decided that killing off all the mice before all the research was completely carried out was a good idea. When we were planning my thesis I wanted to scratch this group because with so many fuck-ups it was a miracle that these mice didn't spontanously sprout wings. My supervisor told me to include it.
Generally, after three years of first volunteering, then becoming an MSc student in that department I'm so done with science that I don't want to have anything to do with it anymore (luckily, I also study English philology and I think about becoming a certified translator).

Exactly. Science is fun, but I like writing and translating too. And definitely animal research isn't my thing (though it's inspiring...
A propos: after my writing and reading teacher saw my recent essay he asked me if I studied abroad. I didn't tell him that my improvement in writing is mostly the effect of circa 200k pony words written since August...

Yeah, you might just not want to mention that, heh heh. It's true, though. I know I've improved in several ways since creating works here. I used to know some German, but I haven't studied in years, and I can only remember a few things. Comes in handy once in a while, though, as I can sometimes get a sense of what someone is saying in German, and I retained a few words and knowledge of some conjugation and sentence structure.

I can speak German a bit. Maybe I couldn't write a story in it, but it's enough to go behind the border for some shopping.

I was pretty much the same way. Studied it for three years in school, but never used it and ended up forgetting almost everything. Might brush up one day, though.
