When I first started "Shadow's Enigma" I wanted to make a romance fic about Sombra with a focus on his origin story, thus the name I gave the fic that can otherwise be written as "Sombra's Mystery" for those that had not gotten it. I wanted to give Sombra this tragic backstory that explained his actions and give him complex emotions and thoughts. (Things other Sombras tend to lack in some of the fics I've read. Note I don't mean ALL of the fics I've read, please don't feel like I'm attacking you if you gave Sombra the 'truly evil' personality')
So thinking that perhaps being dialog heavy and perhaps a few too many 'action' scenes, I should really add some comic relief to it to keep things balance. However, I am starting to think perhaps I went a little too far in it, making my fic a little too on the comedy and dry humor side for its "sad" tag. Of course, being opposites, I can't have both tags.
What do you guys think? Do you perhaps think that I should revise my tags? Or do they still fit my fic well enough? I am just worried I might give off the worng impression again.
Allow me to pose these question if you will, "Do you feel that anything that has happened so far can be described in your terms as sad?" and "Do you feel you might add anything to the story that might be considered sad?" if both these are no then you can think about revising the tags, in failing that you should keep them the same. In my opinion I think that there will be opportunities that will present themselves to where the sad tag can be justified, looking at the dark magic training as one of the opportunities, the gala being another.
Well the sad tag seems to be justified so far. There are quite a few dark or sad moments in the story. And while it has become more humoristic as of late ( which is still a good thing. I like it.) the question needs to be asked where will you go from here?
?) seems to be more of the subplot or the driving force to introduce different arcs, like Twilights corruption by 
dark magic. You now seem to be going towards dark rather then sad.
The love triangle or maybe quadrangel (
There is also an opinion of future readers to consider. If you add humor then any new reader will expect humor in the story. And the chapters up to the love triangle are more sad and dark then humoristic.
