I kinda get it but right now I'm wondering how Onyx will come back to Equestria
Can't wait how the sequel will turn out.

the concept is nice.
Well Onyx looks... different from how he did on the previous story's art, plus Chrysalis and her child (still wasn't a great idea, but we'll just see if it pays off) look a little weird to me.
Still it's not horrible or anything.

Even if its from a different artist, Onyx's face just seems off compared to the 1st cover, still good though. Can' wait for the sequel, seeing Twi and Tia so broken hearted, and Onyx with no memory of himself or his life in Equestria is breaking my heart
It looks fairly thought out I mean like put in a good way. Onyx seems to have gotten a hair cut by the look of it. Chryssie's kid looks cool. And celestia and twi will be very heart broken. Heh, at least Griffon is dead.

Yes, Prince Onyx's amnesia is a tragedy. BUT, as I once discussed with Silver_Fang, It won't be permanent.
I believe that total memory loss is impossible. and, that memories will always remained forever burned in our minds.
Lost memories aren't truly lost..just placed out of reach with our subconscious.
or, to put it simply: memory loss is like locking a values item in a metal box, and then misplacing the key: You still have that which you value..you just can't reach it.
Same applies to Onyx. He still has his memories, he just can't remember them right now..but, they ARE coming back to him in bits-and-pieces (mostly whenever he dreams)
Silver_Fang agrees with my theory, and is incorporating this in his sequel.
So, he will remember Celestia and Twilight eventually..he just needs a little help in his recovery.

I assumed that at some point in the sequel, Onyx would get his hair cut (or, stress would make it shorter naturally)
although, the real reason it is short is because I wasn't looking at the original cover art that much, and I overlooked the mullet.
but, Silver_Fang never pointed this "error" out. So, I never bother trying to fix it.

The cover art could just be the first sketch and can be improved if the artist is willing. As far as Onyx going back to Equestria goes, doesn't all he have to do is die again to get sent back. I mean when he was a baby he died from internal bleeding to get sent there. And when he was in Equestria he died and was sent back to earth. All he has to do is die right?
