Spirit Beasts, Cloudsville, and some news from me · 6:02pm May 23rd, 2014
Writing a BA thesis is so hard... I want to write about ponies, not dum college stuff!
Anywho... Back to the question from earlier, regarding a spirit beast that could appear in Rebirth of the Damned... first of all, thank you for all your answers! Even though they made more confused as to what to do with this sub-plot, it was really nice to know you care so much! Second... when I asked you what kind of spirit beast you would like to see, I didn't mean "which one of those that had already appeared". I meant what animal you would like to see as a spirit beast, which is something I'm not sure everybody understood. Still, though, your answers made me know what more or less you'd want, so it was still okay I guess.
Now... no offence to everybody who wanted something different, but I'm afraid I will go with something... cat-themed. Don't ask me why. So if you have any ideas for a spirit beast that could be cat-themed, please tell me in the comments. Before you do, though: it cannot be a lion, or a manticore. And... since Chimera in the show could speak, I would prefer to avoid adding it to my story.
Now, here are some other cat models from WoW that aren't spirit beasts, but are awesome looking:
The Great Cat Spirit from Moonglade, was probably supposed to play a part in druid quest line (similarly to the Great Bear Spirit, but Blizzard didn't want druids to have better reputation with the Cenarion Circle so quickly, so they cut that idea).
Pogeyan, the Fire Spirit, from Northern Stranglethorn. Prior to the time when my hunter reached the level where I could tame spirit beasts, she was my favorite pet.

Anzu the Raven Lord. The Synn Lofsvard had suggested using velociraptor, and while that is an interesting idea, it made me thing of using something alike to Anzu.
Seriously? Nobody suggested that?
Now, in other news: if I would start a topic on Cloudsville forum about this fic, would you guys and gals starts discussing there my fic? You know, trying to guess where I am going with all of this and such? Because I have a lot of wacky things planned, most of which had already been hinted. I want to make a post there to promote my story there, but I wouldn't want that to be an empty post where nobody makes comments and would end up forgotten. Also, I wouldn't want you to stop making comments under chapters... call me slightly vain, but I really like reading all your comments. Though it's probably tied to the fact that my stories are one of the few things I get praises for... Wow, that sounded kinda sad.
Hm, that's about everything... Hope to hear from you soon! But before I sing off, I have a few news about things other than Rebirth of the Damned. Mainly... my current writing rate... which is none existant when it comes to my stories. Sorry that I am not writing any of my stories currently, but I really need to get those BA thesis thing done. I still have a chapter to 150 Nights done and waiting to be checked by my editor before I post it, though... other than that, unfortunately, I doubt I will get down to write before the end of June. The first thing I'll do will be Rebirth of the Damned, of course, then after two chapters I will have to get back for a while to When the Stars Align. Readers' needs aside, it's plain fun to write that one ;p

EDIT: I forgot to mention - I changed the pregnancy lenght of ponies in Rebirth of the Damned from 9 to 12 months. The whole thing bugged me to no end, and since some months ago I realized that taurens probably had a different number of months for pregnancy lengh that humans, so ponies should have different as well. Anyway, I changed what I mentioned in chapters 51 and 53. Did I mention the pregnancy lenght in some other chapters?

I still have a saber on my hunter that I tamed at level 10 back in Vanilla. I am very sentimental.
Hmm... if you're going to limit yourself to cats, I would have to say Xuen from the ones you've listed - as far as conversation goes,he's outright shown to be intelligent in lore and could serve as an additional guide of sorts, if needed. The ones you listed aside, I vote Ruukti! That or Savage.
Combine Xuen and Skarr, then make it Frost-aligned: and it would be perfect for Matthias.

2175164 That's a fine idea, except... I'm slightly worried that I already took too much from Naruto. Plus, I would like to have this beast to have some "deep" into it. Meaning that I would like it to be based on something from Earth's folklore, which is why I am considering a two-tailed cat maybe.

But i decided to help you a little bit more if possible, i did a small check up at google but didnt find any good looking mythologic cat at sort :p thou, i found a cat race and an cat species that maybe could intrest you, the khao manee (cat with 2 diffrent eye colers) and lynx a europe winter cat. The aparence on both the cats is a little intresting, you could always come up with some kind of winter Lynx that reminds Mathias of his home, maybe an elemantal spirit Khao manee who lives in the ever free or an race combo :), the possibilitys are endless so pick something that makes you comfortble with YOUR story.
