I've made many references to how tall or big certain ponies are compared to others in my stories. While they are all practically the same height/size in the show, i've messed around with the concept a bit as i've written.
So i threw together a few vectors including all the characters i've used so far (minus twilight shining and cadance) to show generally how they all compare size wise.
Some of the vector perspectives made it hard to work with, but meh, it was low effort:
yes, my Big Mac is HUGE and my Fluttershy is TINY. THAT'S WHY ITS CUTE.
Cute yes... but he'd rip her in half in their own chapter 19. Plus we've seen she's nearly as big, if not the same size, as the others.
And why do I get the feeling Thunderlane is about to say 'You're beautiful when you're angry' to AJ?

Big Mac is one giant stallion. I can imagine he will be gentle too Fluttershy.
Hehe, I always imagined Fluttershy as a tall and skinny type of pony (ex: filly Flutters), and Rainbow Dash as a short fast athletic one. However your tiny Fluttershy is adorable~
In my story, instead of the Fluttermac height difference, I have a SoarinnDash height difference. But Not as big of a difference as you have. If we take human height as an example, Dash is about 155 cm and Soarin is about 185, Fluttershy is 180 and Big Mac is 195 cm.
Thinking about it.. I have read a manga who has the same idea as you. The girl is shy and is only 140 cm tall and the guy is like 190 cm. So cute.

I thought about making thunderlane smaller than applejack initially, but I ended up having to keep him bigger, so the whole manliness challenged thing would make sense when he saw Dash was stronger than him despite being smaller

in mlp I can't really think of any pairings where the guy is shorter than the girl, due to how tall I see most stallions as. The only two characters I'd say would work for this are Celestia and Chrysalis, but the thing there is that I don't like many Celestia pairings, and.".......hmm
