More trope progress and first anniversary approach. · 3:38pm May 2nd, 2014

Because I'm not always the best judge of such things when it comes to my own work, the starter entries I put on those pages are pretty much things which others have told me had some effect, generally in the Comments sections -- and as always, feel free to edit or add anything else you might see as appropriate to those sections. But just having them up means one more thing down. (I still haven't done anything with the YMMV page because, y'know, it's still my mileage.) The main page, counting a couple of trope names which appear in different sections, is up to over 110 examples. (and thanks again to all who've participated so far), with a couple of bits snuck in as treats for those who go through the page. The stories have entries in eighteen outside articles, and roughly 250 (since different device visits probably count separately) people have been to the page from outside TVTropes (including three non-FIMFic which I can't track). Not bad for a total amateur effort. And I mean my own efforts, thankee. Did you see all those non-professional parentheses just now?
We make progress, Luna notes, and moves on.
Meanwhile... May 4th is the first anniversary of my first chapter posting on FIMFiction. Something Should Be Done for that. Something done by me. I'm guessing a good part of the site would honor the date by trying to drop a piano on my head.

Clearly, you should write a story set in the piano afterlife, with a pianicorn plotting the destruction of Twilight Sparkle and all she stands for.
It will be an origami Cartographer's Recumbent Piano, I bet.

I haven't the foggiest. At least, not when I wrote the portmanteau. Now I'm picturing some sort of unholy alicorn/pipe organ mashup that serves as a psychopomp for keyboard instruments. Vox Dei, the Last Stop.

Honestly though, I think 'funny' will be filled up faster. There's certainly some hillarious moments throughout the continuum.
