This thought came up when I was browsing some fan art of Nyx (the main character from Pen Stroke's Past Sins, for those that are not all familiar with pony fanfiction). My thought was this: what would Empress!Celestia's reaction be if she met some of the other powerful beings that inhabit pony fanfics. What would she say if she met, or even just learned about, Lunaverse!Luna (or better yet, Corona), or the aforementioned Nyx, or Alternia (from Princess Celestia, The Changeling Queen), or heck, even someone as simple as Solaris (her genderswapped counterpart... does that mean, in an alternate universe, the God Empress of Mankind is actually a thing?). I'm not asking this question to entice fanboy rage, or accusations of Sueishness, I'm just asking what would happen if Empress!Celestia got a glimpse at the multiverse?

I rather think the alternia one would be rather interesting, and certainly something of a sight, to know that one is truly caring about the subjects of equestria far better than most would. That one I think would be the most thought provoking of the three.
As for nyx, no idea. The lunaverse, eh...

Honestly, I don't think he'd be too surprised at what he would see, though I think Nyx would probably incite the biggest reaction.
Unless he gets to know her before learning about her origin. Then the whole "anyone can be redeemed" card can come into play.
Also, I can kinda see him getting a little upset over Solaris, if only because Solaris got to retain his gender.
Can't speak for the others, though. I'm afraid I'm not that well read.

Empress!Celestia might be pissed at first (Since Nightmare Moon in her universe was Tzeentch), but if she got a chance to sit down and talk with Nyx I'm sure they'd get along swimmingly (Empress!Celestia might have a few things to tell her about being feared and such)

I'm pretty sure I commented on this very idea myself some time back, though on a much smaller scale: Empress!Celestia's reaction to the idea of the JLE-verse. IIRC, you rather liked the idea even then.

I wonder what Empress Celestias' Reaction would be to Princess Atom(Celestia as Captain Atom, though she is still called Celestia. Princess Atom is just my nickname for this version of her) from my verse. I mean, to see herself as a Silver skin/coated/furred Alicorn with a red and blue mane and tail, with Captain Atoms' Symbol/Emblem inside the sun Cutie mark. PM me if you need info on how she gets that way.

I think that Empress Celestia is old enough and wise enough to subscribe to the Infinite Diversity in Infinite Combinations view of the multiverse. In the infinite of creation, everything happens at least once.
That said, I would imagine that, if she were aware of such beings, she'd try to make provisions to deal with them should they ever come to her realm with less-than-friendly intentions. Remember, in at least one fan-verse, Nyx killed a tyrannical and mentally-disordered Celestia almost without trying. That's a power-level that you need to respect and be ready to deal with should it come knocking.

But to be frank, it is more like knowing she is not the ONLY powerful being in the Multiverse, because the Multiverse itself IS a powerful thing. And also, some reasonable selection of girls to have some chat with, anypony say Girl's night?

I would really like the meeting with Nyx, for all intends and purposes she is still a demon spawn (by WH40k standards) with the only difference that the demon got disturbed in the process of entering the real world and such left behind a fully functional body that could develope its own consciousness.
Fun Fact thou, the Empress doesnt even need to leave her universe to meet Nyx. In one of his blog posts Pen Stroke himself supported the idea of Nyx becoming a dimensional traveler due to a project she and her mother conducted for Princess Celestia. It could be possible that Nyx might end up on the world of the Empress by her own means.

It would be very interesting to see done, though a pain in the ass to do. Crossovers are always painful to do. Still seeing her meet Nyx would be interesting, though I would worry when you get into doing something like the... err... well the more AU 'verses that tend to have issues with characterizations. Acutally there is one I would want to see... God-Empress Celestia meeting "God-Empress" Xenolestia.

Given that the pony multiverse is kind of a thing in my stories, I may just have to consider this. And there's the other Multiverse, and that lends itself to still other possibilities, especially if Evilestia becomes a planeswalker somehow...

This is an interesting concept, and if implemented well it would be awesome. My idea is that somehow, the important figures of the multiverse end up on an between dimensions kind of place.
I think that GEoP Celestia would be intrigued by the other dimensions and their rules/rulers.
Especially if it is a ponyfied version of the Warhammer 40k universe, an universe that had contact with the 40k universe. All for the simple purpose of making her confused.
Or any of the Tumblr blogs multiverse.

2069832 Im with you there brother. I have a friend on skype who gets agressive just by mentioning her. He said his hatred originated from "My little Dashie" because he thought that Celestia taking Dash with her back home was cruel. Best part, he actually hates Dash too.
Btw, in that universe where Nyx kills a tyrannical Celestia, she (Nyx) says that she cant really kill her. Her essence will become one with the sun again and regenerate over a long period of time. During this time Luna, who was imprisoned in Canterlot, has time to repair the damage caused by her sister and prepare for her. So its not all that bad.

Ok that is not as bad as killing her off out right, the usual lack of redemption bugs the hell out of me and one of my dislikes for the Lunaverse. Still tyranlestia annoys the hell out of me, and at least now new ones are rare and usually poorly done and only done by newbe writers wanting immediate popularity.
2072944 I heard that DoubleRainbowDash actually planns on redeeming Corona at some point in his story. I can't tell thou, I haven't read any Lunaverse stories as of yet (athou I find the concept appealing, the roleswapping/alternate life that is).
PS: He said "Humanoid", this stats that some thing is "human-like" but still leaves room for interpretation.

Empress Celestia meeting Alternia would be my favorite encounter--seeing how the former would react to a genuinely good Changeling, how Luna accepts her as a sister, etc. would throw her for an absolute loop.
