A Milestone Along the Road · 9:53pm Apr 14th, 2014
As much as I enjoy seeing whenever someone has favorited this story, the feeling pales in comparison to whenever I get a new comment. This odd tale now has 1,000 plus comments and I smile to myself every time I see it. I read them over and over, and still never tire, even the less pleasant ones. They let me know you're reading. You're paying attention. You're invested in someway or another. And they're what I look forward to the most whenever I post a new chapter.
Sigh. Speaking of new chapters, I'm reaching that point in the semester where educational feces is about to hit the rotating blades. A month of projects and studying (read as procrastination) before finals while simultaneously trying to figure out my housing situation and how I'm going to pay for tuition next semester. But that needn't concern any of you. The point is, I'm sad to say, you guys might in for a bit of a dry spell until mid-May. I might be able to churn out at least one more chapter between now and then while I'm "studying."
So, that's where we are right now. And for those of you wondering, the Romance tag was indeed there since day 1. Everything so far in the story has gone as planned... more or less. Contradictory to what I tell myself half the time, I know what I'm doing.
TL;DR: Your comments fill me with joy and we may be experiencing a brief dry period.
And for any Sunset of Time fans reading this: Soon. Very, very, very, very, very, very soon.
School sucks.
Just to chime in, I wasn't accusing you of stealth adding the tag in my comment, it was really just a hypothetical.
I try my best to leave a comment on each new chapter, because honestly I really enjoy them and I just want to voice my opinion. I used to get a reply whenever I did so, but lately I haven't. I was starting to worry you were getting burned out, but I'm very glad to hear it's quite the opposite. Good luck with your school stuff, I know how that feels.
*huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuggle*
Hey, you can't rush perfection, no matter how eager we are to see the next chapter . Again, I'd be happy to proof-read it just to get a sneak peak alone. PM me on my home page for more details.
Seriously, you are doing a wonderful job making this one of the best A. EQ stories on fim fic. Seriously, you should consider trying to add it to the royal guard and Twilights Library, it won't hurt, except for Twilights library if they only take a story once. Heck ,see if EQD will take it. Dam, do I wish they were doing something like this instead of Rainbow Rocks for EQ 2
I got a feeling we like reading your story's almost as much as you like reading our comments,
and we wuv you to.
While I know it is entirely accidental, 1000 pus comments sounds horrendous! I wish I didn't think of that whilst eating breakfast.
Great story, though I did read some of the comments yesterday and think "Wait, people didn't realise this was a Sunset/Twilight fic from the start?" It's been "slow going" getting there, which in my opinion, is fantastic, slowly building something up. I also noticed something yesterday, which I will have to go back and check, but this chapter was the first you broke away from Sunsets perspective, wasn't it?
They have antibiotics for that now, I hear.
WHATS THE COMMENT LEVEL? ITS OVER ONE THOU- *slap*
2010586 Secret fun fact: I actually have submitted it to EQD. But, I'm not holding my breath.
2010831 corrected.
2010417 Hugs!
Soon indeed.
I hear ya, Albi (huh, that sounds kinda cute). I absolutely love reading comments on my stories as well. Nothing like knowing that you do something right and people actually care enough to say something about it.
And I didn't realized it was a ship-fic until it was too late and I was already hooked. Well played.
2010833 *cackles*
2011087 one can dream, that a no to my pre-reader dream?
2011872 Perhaps if they reject it, I'll let you go through the chapters and see if you can fix anything.
2012696 that wool do :) (can't do char faces on phone):. Again good job, your story sure has helped my stories with their paceing issues, especially with the relationship development you had between Sunset and Rainbow. I'm doing better, but u still can't get it just right in non-romance Silver Spoon and Apple Bloom Story? Any advice if your free?
2012720 Hmmm. Part of it depends on what 'version' of Silver Spoon you're using. If it's the one where she's actually a decent pony who just follows DT around because -insert reason here- then just get a scenario where she's alone with Apple Bloom and work from there. I doubt AB will trust her off the bat, so just some simple dialogue might get the ball rolling. If it's Silver Spoon where she's actually just as much as a jerk as Diamond... well that's a wholenother game.
