Milestones are great. You guys are greater. (Tagged story: Roll for Initiative) · 6:20pm Apr 11th, 2014
Let's face it, guys. I'm a small-timer. I haven't been around very long, and I don't output enough words to build the sort of following some other people have. However, this means that the milestones don't just blow by for me. Every time a story's likes hit a multiple of 100, or every time it crosses a certain threshold of views, I always take notice, and I feel like it's an accomplishment.
This time, however, you guys have put a feather in my cap that I can't possibly improve on. You see, as of this morning, Roll for Initiative has passed Hoopy McGee's The Keepers of Discord (which is excellent, and you should totally read it if you haven't) to become the highest-rated story on FIMFic.
I know it won't stay there. A single downvote will knock it down several dozen positions, and that's going to happen eventually. Still, it's there now. That's a big deal to me, and it means a lot that you guys put it there.
Thank you ever so much!
I can't offer much in return, I'm afraid. The best I can give is a new chapter, which I completed just a few minutes ago. It needs a final proofreading sweep and perhaps a bit of editorial magic, but I plan on releasing it into the wild in just a few hours. I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed writing it.
'Til next time, be sure to stick to the shallow end of the cesspool, and have an awesome day.
Yoooo nice.
Congrats man, it is a hilarious story that I eagerly await updating.
Very nice! It's a shame to see Keepers knocked from first, but Roll is definitely a worthy successor for however long it stays at the top. It's both awesome and painful to have so many amazing authors around - you never run out of wonderful stuff to read, but you want to give them all the highest ranking.
yay~ *hug*
Wow, mazel tov! That there is an accomplishment to be proud of. And it's one you definitely earned.
Wow. I still can't believe it myself. This is just insane. Congratulations for your high-quality read.
I wish I'd gotten anywhere near the same amount of attention from my features.
