Sooooo.....It's almost a year now since anyone heard from me. I....really don't have much of a proper excuse. I got distracted? Really though, it's not been nearly that bad, I've found plenty of other things to waste my time with. It's more that I've been avoiding writing for some reason, just every time I sit down I end up doing something else. I went so long that I significantly lost my connection to the story and what I was even trying to do with it. I considered scrapping it entirely, or at least setting it to official "Hiatus" status, but then I'd see the occasional like or comment pop in and resolve to get back on it at some vague point next weekend. My conversation with my friends basically became this.
Anyway, time for the good news. I got off my ass (and then back on my ass at my desk) and actually wrote a bit. I've got 3160 words of chapter 2 down and sent in for editing. I'm trying to decide if I want to write the other half first, or just publish what I have so far and roll the rest into chapter 3. I wanted a respectable sized chapter before things really hit the fan, but I'm worried that people are going to completely lose interest if I don't publish something posthaste.
So yeah, I am in fact, not dead. Also planning to go to BABScon, in case you're planning on abducting me, breaking my legs, and locking me in a cabin until I finish writing ala Misery.
Good to hear those scumbags at Black Mesa didn't do you in. Looking forward to more ponywords.

That's great news! I really hope you like wooden chairs. Oh, and I am sorry, but we don't have water pipes connected to your cabin. So, it'll be in your interests to finish quickly!
