    Adventures in homeownership

This week, I had installed a new air conditioner, me furnace, which followed on the heels of working through two outfits to secure financing, shelled out $200 for a new smart thermostat, still have to call the city to schedule an inspection for the work, have to call a plumber because the toilet is leaking again, and I still will never go back to renting of I have anything to say

    It occurred to me

Or maybe it's all imaginary, but doesn't the boss music for Corneria in the original Star Fox sound like a mash-up between Super Metroid and F-Zero?

Things that would be cool · 8:23pm Feb 8th, 2014

Other than another chapter of Chronicle, I mean.

I really wish there was some way that I could see where views to my stories were coming from. For instance, I know that Chronicle has 107 unique views, but where did those views come from? Is it mainly from people who just happened to be looking at the main page at the right time? Was there a specific group that is producing more views than others? (I can ascribe about 30 of those views as coming from the Anthropomorphics group, but only because they appear after the story was added there, so that’s not a strong case for causation).

The reason I wonder this is simple enough; I want more readers. And by finding out where most of my current readers are coming from, I can figure out the best places to “advertise” and get more. Basic marketing, really, but it’s something I suspect that a great many other folks would find useful as well.

Unless there already is a function like that, I mean. If there is, then I don’t suppose that someone would mind sharing with me exactly how I might acquire this information.
