I am a BIG Rarity fan. I am also one of the biggest Gamers you will ever meet. My favorite MLP FIM episode is a tie between A Friend In Deed and A Dog and Pony Show.

    Extremely sad news.

Hey everyone. Drew Olson, AKA CanterlotGuardian, is no longer with us. I just found out last night that he died. I don't know many details, but I know he was sick and in the hospital.

I really don't know what else to say...

Edit: I just found out that he died of a blood clot in his lung.

Booping around in my Google docs.

And I went over an old story of mine. The one I tagged for this blog. Til Death do us Part. I have been wanting to write for the last couple of weeks or so, but cannot for the life of me get anything out of my head for Reflections. As I am reading over this story though, I think I now know where it is going to go. So, be on the lookout for another chapter in this story, hopefully within the next

Enough is enough. · 7:48am Feb 6th, 2014

I know this might seem to be coming out of the blue, or maybe not, considering I haven't written anything in some time.

Either way, I am done writing. I haven't had the urge, the real motivational spark, to write in a while. I hate feeling like I have to write, like I have to keep something going when I really have no desire to do so.

I don't know if I will be writing ever again. I don't know what will happen with my stories. For all I know, I could have something written up next week. I could never type out anything again. Either way, I am done, until I can start writing for myself again, which is something I haven't done in a long time.

Don't ask me what will happen with my stories, because I honestly don't know.

I will still be active on the site, just as much as I usually am. The only thing that is changing is that I am no longer writing.

Do what you gotta do, man. :ajsmug:

Aww I reallly liked Broken. :pinkiesad2:

Whats done is done I guess.... at least you are not leaving.

1802153 Thanks. Just making this blog, making this a concrete choice, makes me feel like a massive weight has been taken of my shoulders.

1802155 I enjoy writing, just not here lately. Every time here lately I have tried to write, it has felt like a chore, instead of something fun, like it used to.

1802159 Yes, writing is meant to be fun and a hobby to enjoy, if neither of those are present then a hiatus is definite. At least until your spark comes back :derpytongue2:

I always wanted to ask, since you consider yourself a big time gamer, what games do you play the most? As in system as well as video game, and what are your favorites from the past?

I know its a random question for a blog such as this, but i wanted to know since i am too a fellow gamer.

1802165 Well, my favorite system is hard to pick. I like a lot of different systems. However, if I had to pick one that has had the most influence on my life as a gamer, it would have to be the N64.

So many great games were made for that system, and it is arguably the best system ever made. My top favorite platformer, Banjo-Tooie, was made for the N64, as well as a lot of my other favorite games.

As far as my genre preferences, I like Platformers, RPGs, Fighting games, and Adventure games like LoZ.

As far as favorite games from the past, besides the aforementioned Banjo-Tooie, the Genesis Sonic games would have to be the single biggest influence on my gaming life. I grew up with StH, and the first game I played and beat, at the age of three, was the first Sonic game.

I wonder why everyone makes such a big deal out of the fact that they don't want to write anymore. I stopped several months ago and I start again when I want to. It's very simple.

1802188 Because, I have been tying to put this off forever. I have felt obligated to write, and that is why it is such a big deal. I hate feeling obligated to do anything. I want to do something because I want to do, not because I feel obligated. Making the choice to stop is a big deal for me, because it means I don't feel obligated anymore.

1802169 Ahhhhhh Legendary old N64 and the famous Banjo-tooie man oh man the memories.
I never could get into Sonic games, never really liked em.

As for me, i really like RPG's FPS, and adventure games, maybe some platformers thrown in like Crash Bandicoot.

Metal Gear Solid 1 or Legend of Dragoon i consider to be some of my all time favorites.
I am really glad to see another Banjo fan :pinkiehappy:

1802191
Then stop feeling obligated. Since I wrote the first word of my first story I only wrote for myself and I don't care if others wait for updates. The stories I write belong to me and if others like them, good. But if they want updates they have to wait until I feel like it.

1802196 Legend of Dragoon is one of my favorite RPGs. I love that game!

Banjo-Tooie might just be my favorite game of all time.

1802201 Well, like I said, I don't anymore, and it feels great.

1802203 Banjo-tooie was fucking perfect. I CANNOT find anything wrong with it.

Legend of Dragoon was shadowed behind FF7 like all others but it is easily the greatest fucking RPG i have ever played on the PS1 hands down.

1802214 You haven't played Star Ocean: The Second Story, then. That is my number one favorite RPG, and it is for PS1.

1802217 :pinkiegasp:

I got a PS1 Emulator i will go look it up, thanks

1802218 I cannot recommend it high enough. :pinkiehappy:

sooo... nothing's changed?

Glad you made that decision, no need to put yourself under any added pressure. I'm sure you are under enough with school, uni or work. Glad you are here

No problem, its good to hear your not forcing yourself, i find when your being forced to do something it no longer becomes fun. I'm glad your not under that pressure anymore:twilightsmile:

So pretty much whatever I do? Don't worry, nobody is demanding you to write, ever. Also I got a new pc so activity on this site will probably raise quite a bit higher for me. It's nice that you'll still be around and even nicer that you're still bright and cheery. It's great that you feel a massive weight lifted and no pressure on you. :pinkiehappy:
