"Official" Hiatus · 3:39pm Jan 23rd, 2014
Hey Everyone,
After noting in the last chapter I published that I was going on a temporary hiatus, I have since completed another chapter of TCE. However, I'm not quite ready to publish it. The reason I stopped where I did is because there is going to be some climactic stuff coming up soon (hopefully that isn't too spoiler-y), and I want to make sure I don't make any continuity errors. After I reach the point where I'll be confident there won't be any changes, I'll start publishing again.
This being said, I'm a tad bit stuck on exactly how to continue at the moment. There are many options, and I'm trying to figure out which one to take. On top of this, I've been catching up on a lot of editing, and have partially lost that spark of motivation to write because I've been so involved in my friends' awesome stories (no blame on you guys— I enjoyed them a lot, and continue to do so!). Because of this, I'm going to go on what I guess I'd call an "official" hiatus— difference being that I may not have the next chapters up for a month or two, instead of a few weeks (I have also put the hiatus option up on the story's description).
Don't worry— this isn't going to be a "Whisper of Wind"-length hiatus. I'll be back, I just need to get my writing cap on straight.
PS: As part of this break, I was able to finish a random one-shot that I had mentioned back in December, but never put up. It will be up soon, though.
PPS: I realize that probably only a few people are actually going to see this post, so for those of you that do, thanks for following and/or fave-ing.
PSS (potential story spoilers): In terms of real life, things are going alright for now. Not quite in the all-clear, but not necessarily doing WORSE. Can't know for sure, though. Cancer is a funny thing, especially mine (I'm a f***ing medical mystery).
That's ok, I still have the story so I can see whenever you might happen to update it again when/if you take it back off hiatus.
Didn't even know you had "medical problems", I kind of thought when you said that it was something simple like a broken shoulder or fractured foot or something. It's not bad, is it?
As for the stories in general, I've never caught on with your stories because I have trouble understanding what they are, care to explain?
As for the hiatus, just make sure that it doesn't last as long if people are really interested in your work, because some have the tension span of a net. Really small.
Hey, where do you live?

Long story short: cancer. Crimson's medical experiences in Through Crimson Eyes are inspired by my own (I've had a lot of other issues before this, but that's the main premise of TCE. There's a little back story in it, but the cancer is the most important part).
I have to ask, what is it you're not understanding? Is there something I haven't made clear? TCE and LFLS are both inspired by my own life (to a point).
I only have so many followers, so I don't know how many people are jumping at me to continue (like some of the stories I edit for). BUT, I do have a few people following TCE that it seems to hit home for them, so don't worry— I have no intention of stopping. Sometimes you just need to take a break from things until you get that spark back. I'm actually just about to finish a little one-shot I started a while ago. When I'm done I'm gonna throw it by my editor, and hopefully I'll have it up soon.
USA— New Yorker, born and raised. But not the city.

Cancer, cancer. Well...I don't care, I'm not even going to make it sound like it's a big issue, I mean of course it is, obviously. But I'm not going to sound more uncomfortable towards you than I'm already am. I'll say this though.
Since you were honest, I'll be honest too. My mom died when I was 11, so I understand long term issues pretty clearly, but medically...not so much. Unless it's a ingrown toe-nail infection, which I have (had), than I don't know what you are personally going through.
What I meant by the stories was that in general, they weren't as appealing to me. What can I say? I'm a sucker for images I guess. I'll prove me wrong and read one right now though, if you want.
