Hey there, I'm Level Dasher's childhood friend, Eloise.
As you may know, Josh (which is what I knew him by) died back in April. His family is planning his memorial for this October 15th, and they asked me to make a video of his friends sharing their stories of him. We want to include his fandom friends, because he loved his community here on Fimfiction. You knew him in different ways from us, so we want to hear your voices, too.
I also posted this message on my ~new~ Fimfiction account, tin_tweezers. I'm going to reach out to some of you via DM's on that account (I don't want to use this account and make you all think a ghost is messaging you!)
We put together the two forms below for people to upload self recorded videos and audio files. They go directly to a private folder so that other contributors don't see them. I wrote a few prompts on the form to get you started, but if you have other memories or things about Level Dasher you'd like to share, please definitely include them! If you want to participate but you’re worried about privacy, let me know and we can figure out a solution.
- If you have a Gmail account, you can upload your files directly via this form.
- If you don't have a Gmail account, fill out this form and copy/paste the link to your file when prompted.
Josh's brother Chris sent out a different form a little while ago. You can still upload to that one, but preference for the one I linked to above - it's more detailed and has more info.
FYI: I'm also in fandom! Which is why I get the need for privacy. I can send you my AO3 and tumblr profiles if you want confirmation, but I'm not going to link directly because there's some nsfw, and it looks like Fimfiction is very sensitive to links with mature content.
We plan to start editing this video on Monday September 25th. So, please submit your responses by midnight on Sunday September 24th (US Eastern Time.)
