Would you all hate me if... · 6:33am Jan 11th, 2014
... if I decided to split the last chapter of Hoof Covers Bruise into two... again? It would allow me to focus more time on a very important scene before the real finale at the end. And I'm just going to say a tiny, itty bitty spoiler here(even though you guys all probably saw the story heading in this direction naturally... I hope...); the "climax" scene is going to be the one on one conversation between Rainbow Dash and Scootaloo. And since I don't want the scene before it to either overshadow it, or, in greater likelihood, be overshadowed BY it... I think I'm going to give RD and Scoot's conversation their own chapter at the end. And instead of having an epilogue like I was planning, I would just have it included in the final chapter along with their whole scene.
I promise that the whole rest of the story is going to be great. It's just that school starts back up in one weekend, and I'm going to be hyper-busy tomorrow and won't have much more time to write this thing up until well after school starts. By splitting it into two, I would reap all of the aforementioned benefits, on top of having the next chapter updated more quickly, which is always a plus.
Is that alright with you guys? I know I've already broken my promise once when it comes to actually making my final chapter update, but I think it would enhance the ending and make it feel less rushed. I also think it would prevent making certain scenes feel less important or overshadowed by one another.
Sound good? *braces self to be pelted with bricks*
And sorry again. You guys know how inconsistent I am with this stuff...
