A question for readers of Roll For Initiative · 6:54am Jan 1st, 2014
First of all, if you're getting this and you're not following me, it's because you faved Roll For Initiative. If my name is unfamiliar, you probably have not seen my blog post from earlier tonight. I was Mook Massacre. Now I'm Prak. This is a permanent change. Dig up the other post if you're desperate for details, but it's really pretty boring.
Hopefully, you'll be happy to hear that the next chapter of Roll For Initiative is underway. It should be done fairly soon, probably within a couple of days. However, I have a slight concern and I want to know what my readers would prefer, so if you have an opinion on this matter, please let me know.
You see, I've become pretty long-winded. The previous chapter was 2.5k words, but this new one is going to be around triple that length. That means more time spent on each character, more jokes, and more plot. These are good things. It means I'm taking the story much more seriously than before and I want to keep people invested, not just give a few cheap laughs.
The problem is that I don't know if you guys are comfortable with that length or not. If the consensus is that shorter chapters are good, I can chop it in half and release them a day or two apart. If bigger is better, I'll just carry on as originally planned. Either way, the final product will be the same and take about the same amount of time to produce.
tl;dr version: One long chapter or two shorter ones?
I don't think you should care about chapter length, as long as they end organically.
Either one is fine with me.
I'd prefer two shorter ones but whatever is fine.
I'm fine with long chapters. The chapter should be as long as it needs to be.
I'm going to read it either way,

Thanks for the input, guys.
I haven't made any decisions yet, but I've taken all of your feedback into account. One way or another, expect an update around 2pm central on Friday.
