I haven't seen the new episodes yet and is really hard to avoid any spoiler when the site is full of them right now.
Anyway, without any spoiler please, what are your thought about these new two episodes? Are they amazing? Good? Bad? Disappointing? I probably watch them tomorrow but I don't know what to expect of them.
Sometimes I can't believe how fast time flies. Today, I am another year older. One more year in this amazing, though sometimes not so much, adventure called life. I feel like time flies too fast and I still haven't found my place in the world. I know I will, eventually.

Well, everything good have an end and it was just a one-shot. I hope that the full story get there too.
Talking about the story, I built already the plot of the first chapter in my head, so as soon as I have time, I'll write it.

No one does because the way it is supposed to work can be cheated in some ways. Also writers who have enough watchers will always end up in the box it seems... it can unfair at times. But the bottom line is, the more attention your story gets, the better chance it has to end up in it. 1621783

Not me. My two latest stories never made it, as well as a couple others. It's most likely cause they were kinda short, but Forgiveness for Peace was definitely not a short one-shot.
It's all a matter of how much heat they get right after they're published.
And the more words there are in the initial publication, the less heat is required to get it on the Featured Box.
So I'd imagine that a story that starts off with 1k words would need like 50-100 likes, a few more favorites, and a LOT of views within 20-30 minutes or so in order to get featured.
A story with 10k words would need only 15-40 likes with under 50 favorites to get on there.
I'm just making estimates though. It's hard to tell how much likes, favorites, and views a story would need to get on there.

Well it only has 115 readers Favorited to it now. Updated Features also count on heat as well.
How many views do you get on average every time you update that story?
Almost nothing, its sort of why I put it on hiatus, but I also hit a brick wall in terms of writing. 1622090

That's why it probably didn't get on the Updated Feature slots.
I'm not exactly sure, but I think the submitted chapter's word count also counts.
Any story actually has the potential to get in the Updated Feature slot, despite not being able to get Featured from the start of it's publication.
Blowing Through the Pages, an OC story of mine, never got featured once until I finally came out with Chapter 5. It was 6k words and had 75 views or so within an hour I believe. Although it didn't last very long (cause I actually submitted the damn thing late at night), one of my Followers told me it got up on the Feature Box.
You can imagine my surprise when I was told that. A few others confirmed it as well.
It's very strange.

I noticed when Blowing Through the Pages got featured, even though is was for a short time. Maybe was because of the new amazing cover art... just kidding, the chapter was awesome.
Well, I think that the box works with how many views and likes get a story in a short moment. I don't know how much. My story, Far for the Light, have never got more than 100 views in the same day and have only 34 likes. That's probably why It never got featured.
