A Small List of Reasons Why I Suck · 1:08am Oct 30th, 2013
Righto, it seems I need to elaborate on a few things regarding the schedules for my various fannish thingummyjiggers. This is prompted mainly by a comment recently left on Playing With My Heart, wherein someone postulated that maybe I was waiting a nice round month to post the next chapter. Given that I hadn’t realised a whole friggin’ month had passed (seriously, it’s 30th October already?) I feel compelled to explain myself and provide a neat little list of what I’ve been up to, what I’m up to right now and what I intend to be up to next (other than my neck). You see, other than writing fic here on FimFiction, I’m a busy bee in other walks of fandom life:
THINGS THAT ATE MY LIFE RECENTLY (IN ADDITION TO MY REGULAR JOB):
1. Put finishing touches to audio for Episode One of The Heroic Tale of Heroically Heroic Heroes radio play for November release. The final piece of art has been sketched and approved and is now in the colouring stage, which means this project is finally cresting the horizon after five months of preparation.
2. Finished scripting Episode Two of The Heroic Tale of Heroically Heroic Heroes radio play.
3. Participated in recording of the next episode of The Heroic Review, a show in which myself and several other fans discuss and dissect particular high(ish)-profile MLP fanfics. This time, specifically, it is March to the Scaffold by Foxy Kimchi.
4. Regular updates to my Pony Tales fanfic reading catalogue. This might not sound like much, but given that even a ten minute reading can take between three and five hours to edit together, it all adds up to Total Domination of Scribbler’s Free Time™!
5. Updated long-running (as in I’ve been writing and posting it since 2009) Final Fantasy VII fanfic A Triangle of Many Sides after a several-month-long hiatus.
6. Recording my lines for PuccaGaruKiss’s This Is Nightmare Night music video (I play Derpy and Rainbow Dash).
THINGS CURRENTLY ATTEMPTING TO SWALLOW ME LIKE A SNAKE WITH A DEAD RAT:
1. Writing my Halloween Nightmare Night fanfic for MLP. This sucker was meant to be for the ‘transformations’ contest but my entry kept growing until I missed the deadline, since if I had tried to force a premature ending the whole thing would be wrecked (it features Pinkie Pie in a main role and I take ages to write Pinkie Pie as I'm never entirely sure I have her speech patterns down correctly). I'm now trying to get it edited ready for a Friday release.
2. Recording and editing Nightmare Night special episode of Pony Tales.
3. Writing Chapter 10 of Playing With My Heart.
4. Scripting Episode Three of The Heroic Tale of Heroically Heroic Heroes radio play.
5. Arranging and commissioning new artists (and re-commissioning old artists) for Episode Two.
6. Reading and making notes on next fic for The Heroic Review.
7. Continuing to write other MLP fics, including (but not limited to) Bon-Bon the Demon Slayer, pre-canon Luna, Celestia, Starswirl and Clover the Clever multi-chapter, post-Spike at Your Service darkfic about Applejack and the Timber Wolves and a fic called 'Bucking Bronco' featuring the Mane Six, Braeburn and a gigantic rift in the Apple family.
All of this is basically a long-winded way of me pleading for patience from people for the next chapter of Playing With My Heart. I am in no way abandoning the fic, and in fact that final chapter has been written for a while, but if I rush things I doubt anyone would be pleased with the results. In the meantime, I hope you can enjoy some of my other projects while you wait. ^_^

a bit rude of that person some times you got to do what you have to do hell after I first became a brony thanks to youtube your readings of fan fics where the first I ever heard thanks to you I found this site that I spend more time on then I sleep they should simple be happy for the fact you do it at all its not like you get paid to read and write this stuff(though that would be awesome to get paid writing this stuff right?)
Please don't rush.
I have enjoyed your work. You are one of my top fave writers and other things on this site. I say you have even give me a few goals I like to reach for my stories. So again, Please don't rush on things. 
Wow. Busy busy busy.
Thankfully I've been reading Playing With My Heart bit by bit, both because of the massive backlog I've built up and the fact that I can only handle so much sadness in one sitting.
On a side note, I'm glad to hear progress is being made on Heroic Tales. I've been looking forward to hearing it for months now, and I look forward to seeing if any new roles open up for auditioning.
Anyways, keep up the awesome work!
Damn, Scribbler, you sure do a lot of stuff for the fandom! Good on ya! Don't let it get to you, though, as most of us are very patient, especially when we know your busy. I love "Playing With My Heart" very much, and I think its one of my favorite fictions I've ever read, but I can wait till you've got it done. Quality over Quantity.
Just a quick question, though. You said "that final chapter". Does that mean the fiction is over after it, or am I reading into that too much?
And one other thing. That Bucking Bronco story sounds very interesting, so I'll be watching for it! Thanks for doing all the amazing things you do, Scribbler!

Final Fantasy VII has claimed three playstations since I left them on 24/7 back in the day. I can't imagine what a FF7 fanfic would look like and now I do. How do you do all this stuff? I'll never catch up on anything either. You aren't the only pony to keep others instilled with hot baited breath.
Those are hardly reasons you suck.
Also, I'm still eagerly—and patiently!—waiting for that Bon-Bon fic. I like her as a grumpy candy maker, but a demon slayer will be a dozen kinds of awesome.
Oh Scribbler you don't suck. I am pretty sure we all have things we promise that we don't do because life steps in.

You have been putting a lot of work to create content for all of us to enjoy, and all on your spare time, that shows true dedication to the fandom.
I'm looking forward to the next chapter of Playing with my heart coming out, and I can wait for as long as it takes for it seeing what you have on your plate at the moment and I think that goes for most of us here too. Just promise us that you won't rush any of your projects so you can deliver your best for all to see.

By all means take your time! Playing with my heart is just playing with my heart a lot, so I really want to keep reading it. x3
But please don't stress it! The reason it's so good is because you make it your way! <3
And don't go around thinking you suck. With the long list of projects you listed, those are all reasons you rock!

How could you say you suck?
You've just got a lot going on...as awesome as ponies are real life still happens. And in your case you also seem to have 1,000 different awesome projects going on all at once.
You're fine, stop fretting!
