What pics, if any, have you commissioned that turned out awesome?
I've always loved the Dark Cloud series. In fact, after playing Final Fantasy 13, FF7, FF10, and FF4, I can honestly say that I hate RPGs where you have twenty billion characters who all need to level just to beat the halfway point. The Dark Cloud games have you increase your HP, Defense, and (in the first game) your Thirst Bar. Other than that, all you needed to level were your weapons. In the first game, you had six characters, each with a single weapon type. Swords/Daggers, Slingshots, Hammers/Axes, Magic Armbands, Polearms/Staffs, and Guns were the different weapon classes, and each of the party used a different class of weapon. The main character couldn't use magic, for example.
In the second game, as shown in the picture above, you only have two characters, plus a side-character for each. Max has the ridepod, and Monica can transform into, and talk with, the different monster types throughout the world. Don't use the monster transformations. They honestly suck really, really bad. Either way, Max wields either a wrench or a hammer as his right-hand weapon, while he wields a gun in his left. Monica uses swords, and wears a magic armband as well. The second is better than the first, because of less characters and less BS with the weapons system. Mostly, anyways. Diamond Tiara, seeing as she's basically Filthy Riches' little princess, made for the perfect choice, in my opinion, for Princess Monica. Apple Bloom, as a (mostly) level-headed, fairly mechanically-minded character, made sense for Max. And since I kinda shipped them already, having them fill in for the practically canon ship in the game just made this commish 47.6% cooler. Props to Marik_Azemus for the awesome draw.
Why commission if I can just draw what I want?

1434387 Hmm... Sword looks right to me. Then again, I'm kinda used to the cell shading-esque art of the game, and it can look kinda bent there, too.
As for commissioning, since I have as much artistic talent as a blind paraplegic walrus eating its own feces, I get others to breathe life into my ideas. Story writing is something I'm much more inclined towards.

1442550 lol, yeah. I got stuck for a while in Veniccio, my weapons were NOT up to date. Now, though, I think all my weapons are penultimates. Also, here's a strategy tip. For those gem-altar guards, just use your ridepod and the Machine gun Arm Mk II. Sooo easy.
1442610 I think I was killing all the enemies in veneccio in 1-2 hits and the bosses up to where I am (being slightly before the forest guardian) have been pitiful at best. My weapons aren't even at their best forms which surprises me. My biggest problems have been a broken system and bosses I thought I was supposed to lose to.

What happened to me was I still had a Smash Wrench, with barely any real oomph to it. So I got a few regular old wrenches from dungeon chests, built 'em all up in the Starlight Canyon, then synth'd them all into one, which I then synth'd onto my original Smash Wrench to bring everything up to a well-rounded Stinger Wrench. Once it became the Poison Wrench, all bets were off, and I whirled through the rest of Veniccio in ease, and most of Mount Gundor as well.
1442847 btw, here's a list of all the weapons I have. Most of these are +7s or higher.
Sigma Breaker (higher Smash stat than would be seen if only following the build-up tree)
Heavy Hammer (sold this one since my Wrench was better)
Steal Gun (One-shots everything from Mount Gundor and below)
Star Armlet (Pretty sweet, hard as tits to level)
Cross Heinder (Totes rad)
1442948 I always found the easiest way to level anything ranged was to abuse the large enemy AI and hit them from point blank(I still don't understand why it worked the way it did but who was I to argue?). Also the fact I purposely avoided leveling them up right to upgrade them may play a part in being overpowered. When you have a normal wrench at higher than +30 that can't upgrade yet is dealing enough to kill mount gundor sonic bombers with ease, you did something very right or very wrong. Also abusing the addition of coins was a godsend in more ways than I can bring to light.
1444499 I think I have pretty much every coin attached to my Sigma that I possibly could. Dark, Heal, Steal, Durability, Abs+, the riches+ one, I think that's it.

Currently been replaying it, and have the final form of the Sun Sword, Sword of Zeus. XD My favorite close-range character is Toan, and Xiao is my favorite long-range.

It took me a year of not playing the game to think "Huh, what if I turn away from the Sun and Moon Temple, and go over that hill?"
After I did that, though, I got the Chronicle Sword almost right away (via synth'ing three +5 Bone Rapiers and a +15 Dagger, and three Powerup Powder), so, yeah.
In other news, I beat the game (barely) with literally only Toan having anything resembling a good weapon. Osmond had some pretty good weapons, ad so did Xiao and Ruby, but Goro (Claude 2.0) and Ungaga both had shitty weaponry because they were more annoying to level than even Ruby.
I've started a new game, but I haven't been able to play all that much recently, but I do plan on actually training up everyone relatively closely in terms of power, etc. But mostly I want to be able to do the trade quest, as when I did find Muska Lacka, I placed the Sisters' house before the guy who wanted the Foundation, making it impossible to give it to him, as he'd only take it if outside his house, for some reason.

1861882 Yeah, Steve was literally my best slingshot. And also my second slingshot.
As in, I couldn't find any until I got Steve.
1862298 Oh, I found a couple of Bandit Slingshots, Double Impacts, Steel Slingshots, and Hardshooters.
Oddly, my most frustrating character is not even Goro, thanks to the very recent -got it mere hours ago- Last Judgement hammer. Nope, that goes to Ungaga, whom I am trying to upgrade and Synth-Sphere the 5-Foot Nail for the Mirage spear.
1862422 UGH. Yeah, I knew Ungaga was gonna be my Worst Character as far back as when I got the Big Bucks Hammer, and the Magic Hammer.
1862581 Lol. I see. Hm... well, yeah, Ungaga is still my worst. I recall on my first playthrough Osmond was my worst, but it's different now.

Well, I beat the game... This is the first playthrough I've ever done beating the Dark Genie on the first try... Toan's "Sword of Zeus" may not be the most powerful weapon possible for him... but it's still beastly.

I think it glitched in Queens, or something, because I have everything set up and still have not gotten the Macho Sword.

1864660 All that said, since in all my Playthroughs I've never obtained "Chronicle", I have to say my favorite sword in the game is the Atlamillia Sword. XD
1865533 Yeah, that one's pretty good. I've almost gotten Island King in Dark Cloud 2 right now, and I have both the Supernova and the Grade Zero for Max, both painstakingly upgraded, and not a single name-change ticket bought or used. It's weird not having more things for them to upgrade into.
Then again, I'm sitting with a +15 Star Armlet, and still nowhere close to leveling it to a 5-Star Armlet...
