...and have since calmed down. I still hold to most of what I said, but the truth of the matter is that by the time I was even done writing that blog, I was already itching to start writing again if only to snub the powers that be. It was heartening to hear that the chances of Flash being a recurrent character are slim, and let's be honest: if I'm gonna stop writing, it should be for reasons far better than EqG. In short, I'm still at it (however slowly it might be), and will continue to do so (even if it means rewriting this friggin scene. Again. For the bucking eighth time) until such a time as I complete my series or am forced to stay my hand for reasons other than indignation.
So yeah... sorry for, yanno... freaking out and stuff.
Oh, and I do feel really bad about not posting any updates in what seems like forever. Unless my next blog post is about the release date of Blizzards, I will try to have something story related to show you all.
Just repeat this to yourself, Cerulean: I'm writing fanfiction. Canon is literally irrelevant unless I choose to incorporate it. If I want Twilight to be a Unicorn forever, she will be. If I want Twilight to be a psychopath, that is my option. Should I desire a Rarity that is not actually female, I can do that too, and nobody can tell me otherwise!

Cerulean1313, I'm sure you've heard this before, take your time. As long as you're, yourself, are happy with the scene, overall writing and such, we'll read it fairly and see the amount of time, commitment and quality put into it.
Freaks out like yours are never good to go through, but you're not alone. Some of us still fight those fears of freaking out over canon and stuff like that in our fanfiction plans. Don't feel too ashamed of it, it's perfectly natural. Just trust yourself that your writing is worth reading, regardless of canon crap and stuff like that.
That's it.
You can't go wrong and we won't go wrong reading your unique fics, with its characters, settings and world-building and those who might go wrong will agree that reading your stuff is the best mistake they'll make so far.
Either way, I think you've already heard these platitudes so I'm going to wait. The world doesn't wait for you, but it'll stop just when I see the notification for a new blog spot or fic from you. It'll take time, I understand, but I'm patient and await your next piece of news.

Also remember that they(the writers for the show) said EQG itself is non-canon, and from what I've heard Flash Sentry will never even be seen again
