NEW STUFF IS COMING. There, got that out of my system. Phew!
Apologies for the long delay between chapters. Part of this is because there was a large, important segment that I thought was horribly written, and I was dreading the editing. I found out today, however, that I either fixed it already or removed it entirely, so... woohoo! I am currently prepping the next three chapters for "Stay," which will conclude the first arc of the story! Honestly, the lazy side of me wants to just slap a "completed" label on it after chapter 12 (which would leave it at a decent spot), but that would only be telling a third of the story I originally wanted to tell, which is rather lame. However, considering the fact that I couldn't even keep regular updates going with 16 chapters "finished," I will probably refrain from further updates after chapter 12 until I have completed the whole next arc.
The second reason for the delay is that I have been working on a side project of sorts. It's writing, it's pony related, and it probably won't be posted on this site because I have this eerie feeling that the community here wouldn't be receptive to it. It's a collection of shorter mini-stories that form the overall arc, rather than consecutive chapters. The format isn't the problem, though, it's the subject matter. I'll call it "auto-biographical fiction," which translates basically into "self-insert" for most people. Everyone hates those, right? The fact is I'm not writing it for me; I'm writing it for a friend. Her opinion is the only one that matters (well, okay, I'm also just having a lot of fun with it - that too). However, if you all want to read it, I will be posting it on my DA. It's going to be a continuation of the story I wrote for that contest a while back, which can be found here.
My hope is to have the final three chapters of the first arc of "Stay" posted by the end of next week. After that, it will be a little bit of a dry spell while I work on my side project, "Maple's Stories," and work towards finishing up the second arc of "Stay."
Thanks for reading!
Hey take your time bud. The best things in life require patience.
No, not everyone hates them, if done well, and I have no doubt it would be done well by you.
Also, just wondering if In Swept A Blizzard will be getting some more love soon?
