Where We Go From Here · 12:35pm Jul 1st, 2013

Everything is Chrome in the future.

So as you could probably figure out my the literary aneurism I posted a little while back, I' ve safely arrived in the USA, landing around 10 pm on the 25th. Almost a week later, and I've pretty much worn out my jetlag like a pro. Travel often enough, and you learn these things. That being said, I'm still a little drowsy, but that's more from waking up too early in the morning from being crammed into a small apartment with the rest of my family. Looks like I'll be chilling out here for a month or so before moving in to an actual house. From there, it's off to Montreal, Canada, where I'll be setting up for university.

But enough about boring ol' me. Let's get to some actual content stuff. First, I'm guessing you guys have a bit of a question on your minds.

"Chromosome, what the hell was that?"

Honestly, I don't know. Minuit a fond la caisse was intended as a very slight crossover with the images and ideology of a game some of you may have heard of at this point. Not enough to merit a tag, but that was the idea. Then it ended up turning into a really weird psychoanalysis of Pinkie Pie and a hypothesis as to the reason behind her Pinkie Pie-ness. The entire idea in terms of tone was to create an incredibly disturbing and unfamiliar environment so as to create a craving for a return to the norm. If you felt that, then I guess I nailed it. I mean, I wrote it when basically in a coma, so take all that with a grain of salt.

Moving on, remember that thing I hyped all the way back when I was just starting to make my comeback? Well, I have good news: work on it has commenced, with renewed vigor. I can't give you an estimated date of release at this point, mainly because a whole slew of factors are going to be involved in its production, simply because it's going to be so dayum big. So dayum big, in fact, that I'm planning to get you guys to help me out with it. More on that as I get closer to wrapping up the first chapter, but stay tuned. Unfortunately, that means that I'm not really going to be putting out much in terms of new content for a while, because I'll be wrapped up in this. So sorry about that. But hey! It'll be worth it, I swear. I've been reworking a lot of what I had originally after a long break time, so the ideas are flowing fresh and I've managed to fix most of the problems I've been concerned about.

Look forward to seeing that eventually, and as always, pony on.

Holy crap, you're back!

I liked it, once I figured out what it all meant.

That story was so strange and disturbing. I'd say your objective on that one was 100% complete. I can't to see what you give us next! :scootangel:

it's off to Montreal, Canada, where I'll be setting up for university.

Oh my gosh, are you going to McGill? :rainbowkiss:
If so, I'll see you there!

Concordia, actually! McGill threw me out on my arse.

I, uhh, guess I might not be seeing you there, then? :raritydespair: How could they reject someone with so much discipline (not to mention writing talent)? I mean, I couldn't give up ponies for 6 hours, much less 6 months.

Also, how the heck did you even figure out Concordia existed? I mean, I thought that McGill was the only Canadian university that non-Canadians know, let alone ever bother to apply to -- not that Concordia's a bad university, of course, just less... known :twilightsheepish:

One of my counselors told me about Concordia, so I applied there as well when picking out my universities. I have a french citizenship, so it's cheaper for me to go to Quebec.
