    On Sex in Romance

I don't think that sex scenes in romance are "necessary"; for many stories, depending on tone, mood, intention, etc, they would be extremely superfluous. I don't believe they should be described in lengthy, erotic detail in many stories, either, even though that is what some consider most "gratifying" about them.

How do you (the follower) feel about smut / clean stories

    Hey there,

I haven't posted anything for a million years, but that may change soon. Dunno. We'll see.

This blog post is entirely to gauge feedback on two types of stories that have not yet existed on this page. My stuff up until now has been a mixture of romance and sex, but I am curious about how you guys would feel about stories that are:

    1) all sex, pure smut, little/no buildup

    Quick Update

I don't expect many people are still checking in/asking "Where the heck has Idylia been?" but I figure it's good to say something every once in a while.

I'm still here, checking the site daily pretty much.
I'm still editing stuff for people. That's the majority of my interaction with the site as of late.
I have ideas for writing and now I believe I have the motivation for it as well.

"Where Have You Been?" and other nonsensical doodads and hootenanies

TL;DR and also a convenient organizational outline
    1. College
    2. Taking care of myself
    3. Being lazy
    4. Engaging socially with other human beings
If these reasons aren't sufficient (they're certainly not for me) add "is difficult" to the end of those and you might feel a little bit better about them, regardless of whether they are or not (see: my methods of coping).

    In order.

5k words, burning through more and more, and still not close to done. · 11:40am May 18th, 2013

Whew! This chapter is going to be a doozy guys. Please be patient with me; as much as I want to get this out (sobadlyyouhavenoidea) I also want to do it the greatest justice I can.

And... as odd as it is to say this... I think this is going to be the final chapter.

The excitement is killing me. To have a fic done. To really have completed something I'm proud of... It'll all be worth it.

But the time for those words comes later.

Right now... the time for these words is first priority.

F-f-final chapter? :fluttershysad:

Yep. Final chapter. Like I said, it's going to be a long one. In my outline, the happenings of this chapter were actually two chapters, and with the tension and emphasis I'm probably using more words than I normally would anyways.

Aw... try not to fret though! I have no intention of ending my writing career here! All stories, as they say, must come to a close.

1089130 I certainly hope you'll keep doing what you do. Can't wait what you come up with next.

I'm currently writing a collab with a great friend of mine!

Aside from that, my next story idea is between:

Runt-of-the-litter Diamond Dog finds himself on Applejack's farm with nowhere else to go and dreams to live in a world that accepts him (romance)

CMC end of the schoolyear in High School fic about self-actualization and becoming your own mare, as it were. Deciding what's truly important to yourself.

I know how you feel, man, my fic stuff always ends up being way longer than I originally planned when it comes time to actually write them. Especially my own Rari-Spike-Light fic. Never, ever intended that one to be a 17,000-word oneshot, but it just sorta kept going and going, and I STILL feel sometimes like I should have done more with a couple of parts.

In any case, looking forward to seeing your story finished!

Ohhh, I think 50k~ words is a good amount for a story like this (though, there are things I would change looking back, and I'll probably make a blog post concerning those things), but it is nice to know that the parts I built the story around in the first place are so close to seeing the light of day!

this chapter is gone be zoo SICK BRO :raritystarry::moustache:

Oh believe me, it will be! Having the honor to tag along as Idylia writes and offer feedback where I can, I can safely say that this chapter is going to be something special. Idylia is putting a ton of effort into it, working hours upon hours, day after day. Although it is sometimes sad to see something we adore come to an end, we can always gaze upon the empty horizon, where the next sun will rise, just as high and bright as the last.

WWWWWWOOOOO! It's a shame that the story is ending, honestly but I'm glad to hear it will be your completed work, I really can't wait to see what else you shall create, I'm eager:twilightsmile:
