Winter Update for Sunset of Battle

Going to be a short update.

Chapters 15 and 16 are in the final editing phases now. I'm waiting to publish anything however until after chapters 17 and 18 are done so I have the latitude to tweak 15 and 16 as needed. Once the current story arc is finished I'll start posting the chapters on a weekly basis.

    That is all...

    Like I said; short update.

    A minor alteration...

I made a minor edit to the most recent chapter. There were two little words that had become a massive pain in my arse working on the next chapter. They were, 'to her'. :twilightangry2: It was leading to rabbit holes of character arguments that spiraled into hellish domains where finding a feasible 'out' for Sunset grew dire indeed. After several attempts I've decided to just rip out the root

Nearing the end of Schola Arc, and future planning.

So, as I begin to near the final rise in action for the schola arc of Sunset of Battle I'm looking more and more ahead to what I want to do with the story and where to go next. My general plan is to do a time-skip to when they are novitiates and start the next arc in-media res. But what to do and who to have as the antagonists?

'Authors helping Authors' and Chapter 9 of Myths · 3:47pm Jan 28th, 2013

First Up: There seems to have been a snafu with Chapter 9 of Myths. It didn't trip the favourites notifications when I posted it last night. This is my fault as I pressed the 'Publish' button like a frantic march hare when I thought the darn web-browser was freezing or something after it took a minute to do anything. :facehoof: So, chapter 9, you can go reads it. At just shy of 13k words, it will (I hope, but I know I'll be wrong) be the single longest chapter of Myths.

Next: A couple of days ago I got an email from Inky Jay asking if I wanted to participate in the Authors Helping Authors group. I wasn't sure, at first, given that I hadn't heard of the group before. So, I read the email and checked out the group. While I applaud their efforts and intentions, the groups purpose is not something that I personally wish to participate in.

What they are is a peer review group, with well known and little known authors. The idea, as I gather it, is to help lesser known stories be brought to light. This I wholly approve.

So, if you have the chance or time, give the group a look. You may find some stories you missed that are really enjoyable.

I got the email notification for the update, but it doesn't show up in my list of unread favorites.

However, if I go to the story itself, Chapter 9 is there and unread.

Very strange.

Yeah. People were mentioning that in the comments. But not everyone has e-mail notifications, instead they just keep an eye on their favourites lists. Well, that's how I do it, any ways. So I thought I'd give everyone a poke using my awesome and almighty Blog Powers. It seemed like the best work around at the time... a minute ago... Maybe I was wrong. :twilightoops:

Well, I'm gonna go read that chapter.

Signed,
Ambrosia M. Firehoof

The unread favorites list is all kinds of messed up right now. There are atleast 2 stories where I have read every chapter but they still show up in the list. Also I had the whole Myths not showing up on that list thing, but I've discovered that unfaving then refaving usually fixes that problem. Does not help with the other one though.

Yay! I get go read a new chapter!

if you unfavorite and refavorite the chapter appears again

Thanks for the update.:pinkiehappy:

Thanks for the chapter!
Ill look at the group

"it will (I hope, but I know I'll be wrong) be the single longest chapter of ___."

Yes, the usual trend after these sorts of statements are a series of very long chapters. Luckily for you, most people on this site like reading. :yay: I wouldn't worry about 13K words being too long.

Use "mark all read" to clear out the ghost unreads.

763232 I would if I didn't have 67 unread chapters. some of which are from MONTHS ago. like 6 or so months.
