Cadence or Cadance? Halp

The name is Cadence right? Because I looked around and people are spelling it both ways all over the god damn internet.

Now I told someone that they spelled Cadence wrong when they had it spelled, "Cadance" and several persons told me that I was wrong.

THEN WHY THE HELL DOES FIMFICTION CALL HER CADENCE?!?!?!?

I wonder sometimes just which people are bronies, and which people are just trying to act like they know what they are talking about.

Just to be safe and make sure that I'm not being retarded here in thinking her name is "Cadence", can I get a general opinion from my followers as to the way her name is actually spelled.

I'm gonna feel so stupid if I've been spelling her name wrong in my work...

Both ways are acceptable in my opinion, as long as the writer uses only one version in a story. You have multiple valid sources giving differing answers, so pick one and choose lol

Cadence. . . even the proof saying that it's Cadance points out that the credits in the Crystal empire episode spell it Cadence.

Also, "Princess Mi Amore Cadenza" how would you go from Cadenza to Cadance?

Actually it technically is BOTH.

The original spelling "Cadence" is used in some publicity material and the credits of the first two episodes of season 3, while the later variation "Cadance" is used near-exclusively and prominently in publicity material and all products, one of which used "Cadence" in a promotional photo but used "Cadance" in its actual release.

Because pronunciation. Cadenza is Italian for Cadence. Cadence is usually pronounced the same way as Cadance. That is how you go from one to the other.

"Cadence" fit in better with the general pony naming conventions as we know them. "Cadance" isn't an actual word for something, near as I can tell, which would make it quite the standout in a world of Twilight Sparkles and Rainbow Dashes. Pony names seem to be almost universally composed of actual words or puns on actual words or phrases.

The show spelled it both ways at various times. Personally I think Cadance looks better, but either way is fine by me.

I spell it "Cadence" and I hadn't seen it be spelled with an A until I got her trading card. I've only seen "Cadance" once or twice. I've seen "Cadence" a LOT more. So I've been writing it "Cadence" and just haven't been correcting anyone because I'm not 100% sure I'm correct...Novelle spells it C-A-D-E-N-C-E. 'nough said.

As far as I've seen they're interchangeable. Personally I'd go with Cadence, because they call her 'Cadenza' on the show.

If i'm unsure of how a character's name is spelled I use the mlp wiki, If the mlp wiki is wrong then so am I.
