Welcome to Appendix A: Characters of Myths and Birthrights
A few ground rules: This is Work In Progress material. If there is a conflict between here and what's in Myths; Myths trumps this file. It is a general purpose guide to help people keep certain characters straight. Given the complexity of some of the relations, this file may cause more confusion however, so be warned. Also, this WILL HAVE MINOR SPOILERS. If you want no spoilers I strongly suggest you stop reading here, or at least not highlight the Spoiler Tagged sections. Finally, the speed and completeness this file/blog gets updated is entirely based on my mood and forgetfulness, so it might not always be up-to-date.
The Royal Herd:
The Royal Herd is the herd of Celestia and the rulers of Equestria. Most, but not all, are Alicorns by birth. Those that aren't are descended from ponies that married one of the princess or raised one of the princesses. Twilight has a few unnamed Herd-Aunts from her foster parent's herd, they are not considered part of the Royal Herd by Equestrian law and custom.
Celestia: Goddess of the Sun, Shepherd of the Day, First Princess of Equestria, Daughter of Faust. A Physical Alicorn.
Luna: Goddess of the Moon, Shepherd of the Night, Second Princess of Equestria, Daughter of Faust, Mother of Cadence. A Physical Alicorn.
Cadence: Goddess of Love, Princess of the Crystal City, Daughter of Luna, married to Shining Armour and foster mother of Tyr. An Emotional Alicorn.
Twilight Abigail Sparkle: Goddess of the Stars and Wishes, a Princess of Equestria, Daughter of Iridia, Element of Magic. A Physical and Intangible Alicorn.
Iridia: Goddess of the Spring and Life, Queen of the Taiga, Mother of Twilight Abigail Sparkle, Older sister of Faust. An Intangible Alicorn.
Faust: Goddess of Fate, Namegiver, Queen of all Ponies, Mother of Celestia and Luna, Younger sister of Iridia. An Intangible Alicorn.
Shining Armour: Husband of Princess Cadence, foster-brother of Twilight Abigail Sparkle, Consort-Prince of the Crystal City.
Blueblood: Descendant of one of Cadence's step-sons. Duke of Canterlot. Often mistakenly believed to be a prince.
Velvet Sparkle: Princess-Mother of Twilight Abigail Sparkle (through fostering) and mother of Shining Armour. Responsible for releasing Iridia.
Comet Chaser: Prince-Father of Twilight Abigail Sparkle (through fostering) and father of Shining Armour.
The 'Three Foals' Herd:
Tyr: Claims to be the daughter of Aphrodite, Goddess of Love, and Apollo, God of Duty. Adopted by Cadence of the Royal Herd and Shining Armour. 135 years old.
Shyara: Claims to be the daughter of the Goddess of Stars and Wishes and the God of Lies and Treachery. Travelling with Trixie Lulamoon. 85 years old.
Talona: Claims to be the daughter of the Goddess of Wisdom and the God of Retribution and Revenge. Being raised among the griffon's of Southstone. 2 years old.

It's a little bit confusing but that only makes me more eager wait for the story development!
Holy crap I was wrong in my chapter 9 post, Twilight is Shyara's mother; least if titles are shared between realms. And Luna is Alt-Twi's mom! So then going off shared titles, Flor's invading soul is the daughter of Cadance, Alt-Shy and Alt-Twi are half sisters through Luna. Most surprising of all, none seem to be total lesbians like half the stories on this site.

Not really. Iridia is an OC another member of the fandom made for Bonnie Zacherle. She is the original creator of My Little Pony. So, to me, it made sense to have her OC as the older sister, and the sisters are the creators of the shows.

Yes, maybe, no promises.
It's one of the things on my 'To Do' list, underlined in red Important Ink, but it's also something that needs the right situation to be worked in, otherwise it's just ham-handed exposition. 
Twilight isn't the only Dual-Type Alicorn. Hope is Emotional-Intangible. Next chapter (maybe, still editing) has a Physical-Intangible other than Twi.
