I’m afraid to write anything new. · 11:19am May 18th
I’m pretty much afraid to write anything new because I’m scared that people are going to mass down vote my stuff like they’ve been doing ever since I came here in 2017, I’m scared that people are going to judge me.
I mean, I like writing stories, but I know my stories aren’t that good and some people don’t hesitate to tell me that my stories aren’t that good.
I guess I just need some motivation to continue.
Look artist, if it consoles you a little, I was thinking about creating my own story and I just didn't do it because I'm also afraid of what others will think, I really want to create, but my creativity simply doesn't help, and also, what do I I do, it's what almost no one likes, so if it's any consolation, I kind of understand what you mean.

I know it pees me off too, but unless the t-downs are about something I care about (like poor writing) then I try to ignore them and focus on the t-ups and views

my latest was a pretty nasty M fic :P and it got t-downed prolly on the basis of my weak characterization, over-sensitivity about triggers and maybe just on principle. But 12 people liked it and literally hundreds read it (thousands on another site)! And that is amazing. When I first posted on the internet, ages ago, I dreamed about getting those sorts of numbers! The ratio can go to tartarus.

bottom line is, if you enjoy writing, go for it!

That's the problem with most viewers: no one ever just likes stuff anymore. They either love it or hate it because they didn't love it enough.

Again, just write what you want.
I wouldn't worry about the thumbs down unless it ends up proportionally more than what the haters initially thumbs downed on previous stuff.
If it's the same, you know it's the same haters with nothing better to do, no need to worry about appeasing them
If you have less than usual thumbs down, you have something to be proud of.
If you have more, well, give it a bit and see. It's unlikely to stay that way or get to that point in the first place.
So yeah, write your story.
Looking back on my comments to you previously and seeing more thumbs down on myself than up has me realize that your haters really do have nothing better to do than just spite and antagonize people for just being supportive. So again, I wouldn't worry about them. Do your thing!
