Sneak Peak, BarCast Interview · 8:46pm April 19th
Yeah, the images are a little messy, but it's a work in progress. What's actually up with Spitfire? Why would she be getting combat ready?
Good questions, I suppose I'll have to publish the next chapter to answer those. But, also, I thought it would be neat to give more people a little sneak peak at some of the editing that takes place with the art that I do. Yes, I use AI. I've been open about that. However, I don't simply type something in, click "Create" and take what it gives me.
I'm not sure how much art this next chapter will get. Anything with changelings or adding clothing to characters takes a lot of work. On top of that, I've been dealing with more health-related appointments, legal concerns, and financial dealings, and soon I'll be adjusting to a period of time where I'll be living by myself again. Not that I can't deal with not having company for any length of time, but my physical limitations often favor having someone pick up the slack of menial tasks (taking out the garbage, driving, cooking... I mean, I run the risk of over-exerting myself and inducing another seizure if I were to attempt mowing the lawn or vacuuming.
Also, I'll be hosted for a 5-minute interview on The BarCast seen >>HERE, on Twitch, tomorrow, Saturday the 20th of April, 2024 at 1:50PM Pacific Standard Time (4:50PM Eastern Standard Time). Not much time for me to make myself known or say much of anything, but that's where I'll be.
Otherwise, the next chapter is completed. I only need to do a read-back to make sure everything is as good as it can be and no further edits or rewrites are needed along with the art. After this chapter, though, things might slow down again. I'm slowing down in general and burning out a bit just because of how life is going and how alone I'm becoming. I spent a good solid two years deployed with some of the greatest brothers I've ever served with and had the great fortune to have more time with them back here state side.
We've been there for each other and really helped each other some rough spots... first time I was told I saved a life, and I never would have known it had my friend told me. Later, these were the friends taking care of me. Then, one by one, they had to start leaving. Instructing in the spec-war community, taking orders closer to family, deploying to deal with another conflict overseas, and the last guy was really only passing through, but he'll have his hands full getting deployed in another theater he isn't looking forward to. Not when he should have more time with his family... but... this is what we signed up for... Sort of.
Said to see friends and close acquaintances leave. One can hope it didn't become to mutch.
