I Need To Make Something Clear

I know I've been very absent lately but I still give advice to writers now and again as PMs. Lately there's been a problem which I need to remedy.

My OCs are my own.
Characters such as Cascadius, Colonel Peregrine, Nancy, Blue Murder, Tybalt, Shadowplay, Tungsten and others.
The Eternal Knights are technically collab-characters so if their respective co-creators wish to use them or give permission for others to use them, that's fine.
But the OCs in the Rejuvenationverse and its headcanon are my own with their individual pasts, flaws and personalities.
Writers who take my characters and ignore those things do so without my permission and I can't deal with that anymore.

I should point out that I have been guilty of the same practice in some of my older works. I regret that now and I have learned a lot since then.
The thing is, I wouldn't have any trouble with other writers using them as long as they were in-character. Even as parodies of my genre or style. Honestly I probably wouldn't be that happy but I'd allow it, you've a right to express criticism.
But lately, other parties have been recommending my OCs to other writers and, if the work is any indication, their understanding on what these characters are like is not sound.
I won't give any names or details. I know this wasn't malicious. This is largely due to a massive miscommunication between multiple groups.
But it has gotten to the point where people ask other people to ask me how to write my character in their way for their story. It's becoming maddening.
I have no answers, most of the time I wasn't even aware they were planning to use my characters at all, let alone in the way they do. I cannot write my villains as if they were heroes and I cannot write my heroes as if they were villains. If you can't write your own OCs, please don't use other people's as placeholders.

When I wrote other people's OCs, I at least gave them a story that justified their presence and tried to keep their essential personalities consistent. Even so, I wasn't always successful, I found myself changing them to suit the story and as a result, it is something I have promised not to do anymore. I don't think its a good habit for a writer, professional or not.
So as of now, I would like Fimfic Writers who wish to use my OCs to PM me and only me. I do not give permission through proxies. If anyone other than myself has recommended my OCs to you, could you please inform me before making any plans?
And I care a lot about keeping my characters consistent. I did work rather hard on trying to make them unique and impactful and I don't want that taken away.
I feel making your own OCs is a fundamental skill of writing. It is not entirely essential, we have the full cast of the original G4 and G5 to work from if we need templates and for that, just about anything goes.
But please, if you like and are interested in my OCs, treat them with respect and consistency. I am happy to help if you'd like to use my OCs and I'm even happier helping people create their own. But please don't go around my back and don't use my character or anyone else's characters as shortcuts. Create your own OCs if you can, use canon characters if you can't.

Edit: I realise that I don't actually have the authority to inform mods of people misusing my OCs and its not something I want to have to do anyway so I've removed that. But just understand, if you like and appreciate my work, please treat it with respect if you're incorporating into your own.
