Sometimes we need to be reminded, just because one's not the star of the show, doesn't make them unimportant. You're all valued in one way or another, whether your role be small or big, and that's okay.
So many people love my story and... I just don't get it. I mean, don't get me wrong, I love the traction, but in my eyes it seems just another typical HiE story. I'm rather curious: What makes it so appealing to you?

At first when I read it I was curious how it goes, but the more I read it the more I feel the urge to keep going. It gives off realistic standpoint scenarios if one of us were in that position. You give off accurate details too, I also like changes that didn't stick with show like when you save Sombra, epic fight against Tirek before he could steal Twilight magic and the one he trick Cozy glow hoping for future showdown, making spike son of Twilight and Stardust, save mean six from tree of harmony, saving Cozy Glow from being sent to tartarus, his valid points and arguments with Princess Celestia hoping he finally confront her, Applejack parents, and bringing out why rest of Mane six should be alicorn for all the things they have done Stardust and Twilight ask occasionally. It was like actually being there and I want to see how it goes from here on. Also like how you write on how you picture it making it seem realistic to me.

You took a world made it your own and told it to me coherently it's literally as simple as that. Now I need to actually finish it I like to wait till the tag turns green to dive all the way in.
The concept of Balance is really interesting and figuring it out alongside Stardust is a fun journey. Already makes it better than a lot of HiE stories out there. It's probably not the BEST, but I think it's more like a comfort-food kind of story.
Plus, I think you approach the "Fix-it" aspect of the story with an interesting lens. Stardust doesn't just automatically make the right decisions all the time, but they still make sense to him. He just is much more of a character than just a blatant self-insert (even though I imagine he started out that way.).
In the beginning, that's how it started. But the more I read, I was kinda struck with how relatable Stardust his, and how his journey as a character developed throughout. I'm not sure if you meant to, but you just somehow breathed so much more life into the show I rarely see or feel in mlp fics, or that just might be my love for your story talking, hah! Seriously though, maybe it's the fact you didn't really do every episode, Stardust and how he took different episodes, either having him featured in it, or giving us a look outside of it as either Stardust is dealing with his own thing, or trying not to get wrapped up with episode antics. I think I've said before, the way you characterize the characters are excellent, and Stardust himself is a character I found myself relating too a bit too much on my first read through, and helped me in a really tough time.
It's honestly been an excellent read dude, your writing style, characterization, fight scenes, Stardust and his trails, tribulations, motivations, the awesome power of Balance... many other things I could name and just go one all day about. Especially Starswirl and Sombra, I could go on and on about how the dynamic there is excellent. I'm doing my best not to ramble to much but, man, I wish I could get across ehat this fic was for me, and what it did to me. Crazy how this mlp fanfic did that, when I can definitely agree with you when, we're sure the fic wouldn't reach this scope, that I'd love this story so much above others. If I had it my way, I'd hope every Brony could read this cause to me, it's brilliant for anyone who loves the show, excellent for HIE enjoyed such as myself, and a godsend for making this feel like a whole blown novel. Honestly I had to remind myself it's a fanfic a lot in the beginning I was so impressed.
All in all, I could go on all day as I said, but I just hope you know that for me, this story has been one of the best ones I've read, and I have to give you credit where it's due. You made a world I was familiar with, and made me feel apart of it. Made me see myself in Stardust Balance, flaws and all, and how he did his best doing what he thought was right. I think at the end of the day, I wanna thank you for making this story, and taking it to the lengths you did. Even if it doesn't seem like it, it means everything to me to have read it, experienced it, and leave from it inspiration, hope, and maybe some Balance in my heart. Even if it were to finally end someday, I'll sing your praises then as I did now, and for years to come when anyone asks me what my favorite fanfic is, as this one is the one that always comes to mind, that I wish I could wipe my mind and experience it anew.
Well have you thought about that maybe..... just... MAAAAYYYYYBEEE.... that it is because you are a great writer?

i know you said you dont like the "Like/Dislike" system, but if you had them enabled, your story would have around 1500 likes easy
I'm a man of simple tastes, I see a HIE, romance/adventure, over 50k words, I read. The fact you held my attention for over a million words is a testament to your skill an an author. This story has become one of my favorites on this site. My only complaint is that I can't read it for the first time again.
I also love the fact you include the source of all magic itself the very core the magic core you should have Stardust bring spike, Twilight, and rest of main six go visit it. It could be key to turn rest of them into alicorns.
