This week, our favorite adorable introverted unicorn gets a crash course in all the worst parts of having roommates. Although, as a fellow introvert, can I be real for a second?
*ahem*
Izzy, seriously: boundary issues. And if she has the privacy curtain drawn, that doesn't mean it's time to poke in and ask "room for one more?", that means it's time to get lost.
Thanks to Phazon for reminding me that we are back on a weekly release schedule for the time being.
And just a heads up, any blogs I post on Saturday are probably going to be Extra Life-related.

Actually, I didn't. I mean, it's typical TYT fare now, but at the time it was an omen for what TYT would do to Izzy, and what post-movie Hitch would look like.
Well you'll love Misty having to deal with four nightmare roommates!
... I enjoyed everything after Misty reached her breaking point. Misty going to her father for advice, her not really getting social interactions and being worried that she pissed them off, and the other girls figuring out where they went wrong earlier.
Yeah I wasn't exactly fond of Nightmare Roommates myself. It's like they intentionally flanderized Izzy's happy-go-lucky cheer
into sheer mania

This episode had a lot in common between Izzy, Zipp, and Pipp being unintentional menaces, a heartfelt bit with a father figure (IIRC Sunny talking to her dad's picture/Misty with Alphabittle) and then a cozy resolution. The exact details might be slightly different but the overall was fairly similar if not identical.

Oh, this was definitely Nightmare Roommate 2: Electric Boogaloo, albeit much more entertaining and with an actual heartfelt ending. Thought I can’t help but feel there’s some context missing here with why Misty has suddenly decided to move in permanently that may or may not be explained with the next batch of episodes.
Also, poor timing with the friends music.

It’s weird because they switched to a bi-weekly release when MYM chapter 4 got delayed so that the episodes wouldn’t be released early. Maybe they decided it isn’t a big deal anymore (or maybe there’s a limit on how long they can delay things)?

I think (but don't quote me) IIRC this was part of the last batch of MYM Alphabittle was going a tad overboard in trying to recapture lost daddy/daughter memories and Misty loves him but she needed to find herself as she is now.
The TYT episodes seem to be really jumbled right now.
Oh well. This was a fun one, even if they achieved the impossible and somehow made Izzy annoying rather than endearing.
To be fair, Misty had not yet communicated her boundaries to the ponies when Izzy infiltrated her Tent of Privacy (name and trademark pending).
Tell Your Tale has been giving us some absolute gems lately.
The shorts keep getting better.
It's nightmare roommate... but with four ponies being obnoxious maniacs instead of just Izzy, I honestly hate what TYT and MYM have done to Izzy and my poor ol' Hitch, they've literally reduced him to just a father figure for Sparky (it's common pre-G5 movie MLP stuff, "dudes are bumbling idiots"). The ending however made me smile like no TYT (or MYM, for that matter) episode ever has.
