Tell you the truth, never thought I'd ever get thus close, to actually see the ending my old notes prophesied. We're about 4 to 5 chapters away from.... the end. Hell, the last chapters dealing with this final encounter is 3, with the last dealing with Tirek halfway out the door.
And then? Well, I dunno. I've been writing this thing since 2015. Started on the season 5 hiatus.
Sure, it isn't the best story on the site. But it's my story. Does it amount to anything? Probably not, but I'm glad everyone stuck it out this long to the end.
It really has been a joy writing all these characters. And for all the personal shit I felt when Chrysalis became the fan favorite, well, that's fine. I was surprised to get so much mileage out of it.
As for the finale dealing with our last two villains. Or namely, the obvious final loose end, I have one last surprise on how it is going to be wrapped up. I expect laughs, I expect others to go "are you fucking kidding me?!". Whatever the reaction.
Thanks to everyone still reading my crap, you guys kept me going.

One of the highest qualities I consider in long fics is the ending. Not how it goes, but that it exists; that there are no loose ends, no "Incomplete"-marked-stories. You've made the most consistent, frequent updates on your story I've seen. That is what I value. I praise and look up to how dedicated you have been throughout. Respect.
