A Nice Thing To Wake Up To · 7:41am September 17th
Morning all!
You know, these days I'm largely writing for myself. Which is to say, I'm no longer hugely concerned with getting as many views as possible. Story ideas occur in my head, and I write them out because I enjoy the satisfaction of them being transcribed into reality where other people may also read them. Ten people, ninety people, a thousand, honestly it's inconsequential.
However.
Seeing 'Effect to Cause' at the top of the Popular Reel this morning was very gratifying. I'm not immune to the effects of having people show their appreciation for my work, you know! It's very nice to see something I wrote up there again.

I once heard someone say that you write for yourself, but you publish for the world. I, too, might not give as much weight to views and whatnot, but it always nice to see your stories in the featured box. (Side note: I always screenshot my Featured stories. Immortalizing the moment, you see.)
