Quiet Couple of Months · 11:25pm September 8th
As some of you may have noticed, I've been relatively quiet of late, (and then, suddenly, out of nowhere, today, I sort of exploded with content).
2023 has been a rough year for me. Between illnesses, and multiple double-shifts to make up for lost wages during those illnesses, I've been burning the candle at both ends. So I haven't produced much by way of Heart Full of Pony essays.
But I assure you that I have been working tirelessly on Hooves of Fate this entire time.
I hope to have a lot more HFoP reflections to share in the upcoming weeks and months - especially as Make Your Mark integrates Misty into its Mane Six. We've got two chapters left in MYM, and I hope, at the very least, that the show grows into its own potential before it ends
More importantly, I hope to flesh out some of my reflections on Friendship is Magic as I work through the final seasons of my re-watch.
I've been a busy gal.
Last but not least, I just want to take a moment to squee in excitement, as I have finally finished the first draft of Chapter 63 of Hooves of Fate. It'll be a few weeks before I can finish editing, and finalizing everything based on the always helpful suggestions of my tireless proofreader, Seraphem. But I do want to say that, having completed the first draft, I haven't been this excited about the release of a chapter in some time.
It's an amazing feeling to see things you've been contemplating and working on for months - things you've been planning for years - to finally start to take shape in real time.
I can't wait to share it with you. Thank you all for your support and encouragement.

Sorry to hear this year's been so rough on you. Here's hoping things start looking a little brighter for you!
Good luck with the chapters Wordsmith. Don't burn yourself out now
Ah, I'm sorry the year's been so rough for you. Good luck, and thank you for the good work you do!
(Also, sorry I've not gotten to the chapter yet, but as might be suggested by how late this reply is, I'm rather behind on things.)
