I would like to thank you all for the strong positive response to "Tough Love." I wasn't sure how it would go down, but it's one fo the best-received fics I've written in the last year or so. My thanks! (EDIT: topped the feature box at number 1.)
This was, clearly, an experimental piece and not my usual fare. Let's dig into the motivation and thought process briefly:
A rape fic? Really?
Really!
However, I don't like the many, many fics on this site that emphasize the grimderp Edgelord McEdgeface aspects: torture porn, in other words. Not that I want people to stop writing those, or that I lament those fics; to paraphrase Voltaire, "I disagree entirely with what you have published, but would defend to the death your right to publish it."
However, I wanted to dig into the fantasy aspects instead. I can't link a mature-tagged YouTube video, but check channel: "Sexplanations" video: "10 Things You Should Know About Fantasies" (hat/tip: Damaged). Rape is a very common fantasy, and I emphasize the word fantasy.
So I chewed on how to deliver that. Long story short, I went with "ravishment and magical stimulation, making the receiving character enjoy the act." Which, again, ridiculous, but no more ridiculous than talking magical horses, am I right?
Anyway, I tried to use the aspects of the common rape fantasy to enhance the hotness of the sex scene, and not use the horror/dark tropes at all in order to keep the emphasis on what I wanted to cover.
Anyway, I'm sure it wasn't to everyone's taste, but I enjoyed writing it, I hope you enjoyed reading it, and it was an excellent technical exercise for me to build my skills.

Not gonna lie; I was a touch disappointed when I got to the scene and realized how it was gonna go down. I kept waiting for the turn when she would vocally get into it or something like that, and the only line that genuinely gave me an "ick" was the bit about hoping the nightmare was over.
That being said, it's well written (as your stuff usually is) and I'll never discourage someone for trying something new. Glad you're back in the game, hombre.

There's no wrong way to fantasize. I still find non-con icky and didn't read your story.
