My exams aren't over yet but I might have to write a quick LGBT+ one-shot before the end of the month

Lol am I wrong? As a bisexual I know what the real gay agenda is. /j

5731322
Nah dawg, I was eating an ice cream pizza that I bought from work and refreshed my feed.

I dont pay attention to anything goin around me ong😭💀

Mister or Miss, you just reminded/revealed what "Pride Month" is really about.

5731329
That the entire LGBT+ community are actually demonic dragon-looking beings in disguise who munch on first-born children and grown adults' nightmares? Cool, right?

Yes indeed; fear us, mere mortals! 😎

5731334
Then what on Earth else could you mean? I can't think of anything else

5731335
"Pride Month" as a whole basically means that it's a time for people to be worshipping themselves, each other, and Satan. And Satanism is a crime beyond anything.

5731336
An interesting observation, even if it does mean a gross oversimplification when it comes to understanding what Pride Month actually means and why it's there, as well as what we're actually celebrating. However I can't deny that worshipping yourself overly can (albeit doesn't have to) lead to conceit, which I think is objectively bad; that does not stand for worshipping someone else and their achievements though, so what gives? Regardless of all that though, I do not understand where "worshipping Satan" came from, as none of us does it, and certainly not a bigger percentage of us than the general population.

Actually, what about birthdays? Don't we celebrate ourselves on birthdays too? Sure, other people celebrate us then too, but we as well have fun in the name of... well, us. So by defiinition, we celebrate ourselves.

Self-love is healthy and a sign of good mental health. People respect and worship each other all the time - the mad British monarchy, the respect people have for pastors and preachers in churches, celebrities, mentor-student relationships and (as the lovely Devona pointed out) birthdays are all examples of this but this list is by no means exhaustive. And as for worshipping Satan? I myself am not a Satanist but they seem like good people supporting women's rights as to what they do with their own bodies. However, I do practise witchcraft in the sense that I ask Archangel Michael to protect my friends and family from danger and cast the odd spell to bring me exam success or ward off homophobes and bigots.

People, this. Read this.

Honestly, birthdays are an entirely different story. Birthdays aren’t about worshipping someone as a god, but about showing the man or woman of the hour how special the person is and how much everyone loves him or her.

5731347
That didn't stop my mom from hitting me with the chancla after I forgot to mow the lawn

5731347
Yes, and in addition to us showing them how much we love them, the person in question has fun in their own name; so, by definition, they are expressing love for themselves. Not as a god, of course, that part is true indeed, but what on Earth made you think that we during Pride Month think of ourselves as deities?

I am currently sitting in a pub in England. A very nice pub, if I may say so myself. It's a pub visited by boomers and zoomers, preachers and the LGBT+ community, people of every race and gender who coexist and enjoy each others' company and talk about everything and nothing over a pint of beer (or in my case, cola) and who don't give a hoot about who identifies as what or what so-and-so's beliefs are. It's a friendly community. Everyone's welcome here.

This Saturday, I am volunteering at a church. A nice little Anglican church on the outskirts of a nearby city. I'm playing piano there for them, free of charge apart from maybe a slice of cake with a cup of tea. The newly-ordained priest who organised the event taking place there this weekend supports using gender-neutral terms for the Christian God and also supports same-sex marriages in the Church of England. She's not burst into flames yet. She hasn't been smited. She's not going to hell (if it exists) because she's a priest. She's going to be in heaven (if it exists) within seconds of giving her last breath when it eventually happens. She, in my opinion, is a phenomenal woman for doing everything she does.

Christians and the LGBT+ community don't have to be enemies just because of an easily misinterpreted line in an old book, and I'm sure it said something in there about loving and respecting each other regardless of our differences, right? There had to be one little sentence about it in there somewhere...

Oh damn it is gay month :yay:. I didn’t even realize lol.

Also schools finally out over here, so bonus!

I've got two weeks left. Lucky you lol

Lucky both of you; I still have over a month until my last exam is over. 😣

Can we just agree to disagree on the whole “difference between birthdays and Pride Month” thing?

This debate isn’t getting us anywhere, and I’d really like to turn my focus and energy towards other things.

5731398
Sure, fine by me at least. Regardless, have a nice day out there!

Satan isn't real, though. Me saying that worshipping the Cookie Monster is the ultimate crime makes just as much sense as saying Satanism is the ultimate crime.

5731341

And as for worshipping Satan? I myself am not a Satanist but they seem like good people supporting women's rights as to what they do with their own bodies.

Most religious people don't seem to know that the Church of Satan is a troll church started by athiests. For some reason, people keep thinking Satanists want to sacrifice babies or something haha.

Also, hey!

DEEEEEEP! THIS IS SACRILEGE!
Surely you realise that not worshipping the Cookie Monster is the ultimate crime? Just look at him.

Also, I know about the history of the Church of Satan. They're mostly atheists, and although they do have church-like rituals, they tend to say, "these are the things you need, these are some optional extra items, and these are the things you can use just to scare people you don't like." Their Twitter page is something to look at, lol.

And hey to you too. 👋
