EROH: War is Sleepless Sneak Peek · 5:22pm May 20th, 2023
I'm halfway done with the longest chapter of my life so far and decided to share a quick sneak peek with anybody who cares as a little proof of work.
Turning, he stared across the army, his stature allowing him to see the dozens of lines of soldiers that faced him with measured anticipation. Staring at them for a long moment, allowing himself to enjoy surveying his troops and burning sunlight. Strange that in this moment, faced with only a fraction of his soldiers, a fragment of the crowds he had spoken to before, he didn’t think of anything to say. It wasn’t that he couldn’t think of anything to say, however, rather that he no longer felt the need to think of something to say. These soldiers were waiting for him to take the lead. They awaited his orders and his words.
So, instead of bursting out into another long-winded speech like he had prepared to, he smirked at the soldiers and shouted, “Well, let’s get our asses out there!”
You can expect War is Sleepless to come out by May 30th.
Love it! 👍

You write well, Fonts!
Out of curiosity, about how long is that chapter projected to be? If you'e willing to reveal that, of course.

About 20k, though that's still might be a conservative estimate since while I'm halfway done content-wise, that doesn't translate to how many words will be used for the second half of the content. It's a bit tricky because I could write even more, but I'm restraining myself. The chapter is supposed to be long and grating, but not a whole book in and of itself.

Oh wow, that is long indeed. My own longest chapter was around 17K words long, and I had to split it into two parts for reading convenience, but also because I was eager to already publish the beginning when not everything had been finished yet.
Well, good luck writing, Fonts!

If you ever get the chance to read it, you'll understand why I couldn't make it convenient to read. Let's just say I'm giving the character a fraction of what the character experiences.
