My one regret, having to rewrite this story, is that it would be out of character to have Alex wake up hugging a pinkie stand-in. Pinkie's character was folded into Si'feri's character, along with a few others, and the way I have Si'feri written does not conduct herself to doing something like that. She'd leave him a basket of baked goods in his room, for sure, but she's really not the sort to go hug him and sleep in his bed while doing so, especially since Luna's whole speech about monsters was kind of scrubbed, given that the new books aren't as kid friendly as the show, and hence Queen Ja'vail did not need to explain to her own men, or her subjects, why Alex would go on a killing spree against the aliens aboard that ship.
That being said, I do miss having Pinkie in this story.
Pinkie is a unique character, to be sure. Hard to write well, but can completely change a story when done well. Or, in this case, when missing.
5709398 I honestly can't justify her being in this story, anymore. Especially given how protective Hasbro are about their IPs. She'll be missed, for sure, but you'll still enjoy hints of her bubbly personality in Si'feri, even if that's usually a mask she wears to confuse and throw off others.
I look forward to where u write. I bought the first book you put out and I enjoyed it as much as I enjoyed the mlp version ( but tbh the mlp one is really good and incomparable) I look forward to what u do with this one!
wait why are you having to rewrite it? I'm now confused, I actually have completely forgotten this series because of how long it has been, is it that you are trying to sell it as a series and hasbro is not a very cool company towards brony content nowadays with their gen 5 stuff?
5709595 I'm rewriting this story, and have been rewriting it, to make a publishable version that I can actually sell. That has always been the plan from the very start, and I have said as much in most of my author's notes. All the stories I've made here have been prototypes. Exercises in writing to develop my style and skill, before taking these stories and turning them into something more original that I can publish
The old versions will never leave this site as long as it is up, do not worry. However, the reason why I have tagged the old versions in my blog post is so that I could reach out and talk with you guys as I work my way through this long and lengthy process.
And in case you were wondering, the first book is already out. Second one is coming soon.

Well I figured I might as well go ahead and buy it even though I hate that you have to take away mlp aspects, I'm sure you've seen the state of most stories on this site these days and they all end up being kinda generic self inserts but this HiE really did it justice, similar to The Last Pony on Earth series (which hasn't been updated after that kinda weird last mainline story but oh well life goes on I guess) So at least you should be happy to know that another copy of What I've Become has sold o7 I'd just like to have the next story made here before it's made for a more mainstream audience. If it's not how the plan is that's all good, hasbro is trying it's hardest to get rid of us and the majority of new users want this to become a genfic website so they can have vegeta, sonic, mostly self insert HiE and etc. stories instead
5709603 Let me make this perfectly clear: I'm not going to stop making the fimfiction version. It's in hiatus at the moment, sure, but fanfiction is the method by which I refine my ideas. Once I'm done with book two, I'll be coming back here to write more of my stories I've left unfinished here. In fact, I'm just about done, so you can expect a huge influx of content very, very soon.

I'm very glad to hear that, I do like your content that you release on here. I don't mind supporting it elsewhere it's just that there is something about the mlp universe as a starting ground that keeps bringing me back for the last... nearly a decade now. That's the issue I have with modern fimfic writers is they don't quite get that they use the base level universe as a starting point and then create their own version of their own lore for their stories. SO they end up going "ok and then my self insert is present for this episode, and magic works the exact way it does in the show" etc. etc. As I said I purchased the first general audience version of the book and when the sequel releases I'll go ahead and buy that as well to support the efforts you've been making and to hopefully help support future stories on here, I miss the way stories used to be written on here, purely for the love of the art. With The Last Pony on Earth as an example, now that author only releases one chapter each week and he's being paid for the majority of his stories and in my opinion it sadly affects the overall quality of writing on the site, the peak was around 2014-2016 when people were pumping out thousands of words a day just for the love of the craft. This has become kind of a rambly rant about m missing "the good ol' days" but like I said, I'm happy to support you in your efforts. Good luck with your current aspirations for mainstream appeal :) And I really do mean that regardless of my complaints about the other things that other people are doing.
