    Xlibris

Hey, you guys ever hear of Xlibris? I've got an offer from them to publish my book, but I'm getting some shady vibes from some of the reviews I've read about them. Any thoughts?

    Amazon's changing it's print costs.

So, as of June 20th, Amazon will be changing its print costs. Specifically, everything is going to be a bit more expensive. If you were on the fence for buying a physical copy of my books, now's the time to change your mind, seeing as how the price is going to increase in a couple of months. Thought I'd give you all the heads up.

    What I Am: Aftermath chapter.

Hey, guys, I'm writing a conclusion chapter for What I Am. Nothing too substantial, given that a sequel and spin off already exist, but I thought I'd put it down as both a way to let those that don't exactly follow me (or, at the very least, don't follow my blog) know that the second book is out, and also know that A Darkened Sky is about to get a whole lot of chapters.

    Fool's Gambit.

Man, did you ever go back and just... cringe at what you did before? That happened to me with Fool's Gambit. The story has plenty of potential, that's not the problem. My problem is with how it's written. The prose is off, there are numerous errors, and I feel like the whole thing is rushed. Like, that first part could have easily been 4-5 chapters longer, and it would have been better for

    Live on Google Play!

Hey, guys, just wanted you to know that What I've Become and Nightmare of the Past is now live on Google Play! So, if you didn't have a kindle-compatible device before, you can buy both books for 3.99 each right now on Google Play! I'll be working to get them into more outlets during the next couple of days, so keep an eye out for them!

First I hear of them, and from what I just researched you better stay far away from them.

Selfpublishing.com gave that company 1.5 out of 5 stars in their review of them, so not too sure about that, chief.

Hm. Yeah, doesn’t seem like a smart choice. And the review I looked over mentioned its parent company Author Solutions is terrible as well. Perhaps keep an eye out for other companies that also reside under that umbrella. :/

Never heard of them. Doesn't sound entirely legit though, I'd stay well away if I were you.

Sounds super sketch I recommend going to a bookstore and asking you the book stores about Publishers or the library and ask the Librarians there for advice or even better go to your local University or college and see if they have legit publishers and reviewers. Good luck on all that you're going to need it.

Don't trust em, don't talk to em, don't give em shit. If you're gonna print something, go top down on the pecking order. That way, you weed out the shitty top dogs, while at the same time going down the line to find a balance of credibility and affordability. Does that make sense, or did I lose you?

5730102 No, I hear you loud and clear. Already got some bad vibes from them, just thought I'd check with other people to make sure I wasn't making a mistake by backing out.

Sweet. Here's hoping you find someone that isn't all "sketch city" soon.

Never heard of them and if the reviews are sketchy, don't risk it

Never heard of it. See what cost of self publishing is and read the contract carefully. Maybe with a lawyer.

Maybe get their offer in writing to use as possible leverage with another publisher down the road, but yea they seem sketchy as all hell.

Yeah, nah. They're a scam.

Even if the contract is technically fine, never trust a company with a bad reputation because they'll just ignore the contract. Fighting to enforce a contract is expensive and time consuming.

Wow, you rewrote your story and are now publishing it? Glad to see you still kicking around, and apparently thriving:yay:

Unfortunately the only publishers I know aside from Amazon is ministryofimage.net which sells hard copies of pony fiction, Lulu.com which I bought other pony fiction off of, and baen publishing which I read off once. Although Lulu updated their private policy a long while ago to remove fanfiction.
